Devendra95 reacted to KemoKa in SP120 or AF120 for top exhaust
AF for exhaust so long as you're not putting them against any rads.

thanks for the comebacker. I never would have thought of that.

Devendra95 reacted to KamiKatze in Will an MSI gtx 970 fit inside a rosewill galaxy 02 case?
Behold of my almighty MS paint pixel counting skills!
The space inside the case for a GPU (blue) is almost 12", +-0.5". A MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4 G is 10.5" long, so it will fit with maybe a centimeter to spare.

I like how nobody has really answered your question.
I can't exactly be sure as I can't seem to find any detailed information or specification on that case, but from the looks I would say yes it will fit.
My advice would be careful though, some longer cards might have a hard time fitting in due to the drive cages, nothing a little DIY can't fix though.

Devendra95 reacted to Dabombinable in AMD power consumption
Zen being a traditional CPU design (not the 1990's cock-up that is CMT) should see AMD's efficiency improve-though by how much remains to be seen. AMD might finally be getting over their 'shitty CPU that throw out loads of heat' phase.

Devendra95 reacted to G33k 4 L1F3 in How's my cable management?
IDK, it depends on the sound. is it loud? because air circulation is fine with that.

For whats in it, It's pretty alright. I enjoy straighter, taught cables, but never the less, good job. If you have a windowed case, definitely try to clean it up a bit better, if it's not windowed, then you real worry with cable management is air circulation, with it gets plenty, and the cables don't have to be perfect.

Devendra95 reacted to Trik'Stari in How's my cable management?
Well, the cable management in the GPU side of my air 540 is great, on the backside where airflow doesn't matter....complete birds nest.
And that's why I love cube cases lol

Not nearly as bad as I've seen before.
I'm OCD over cable management. My cables are 100% tidy.

"You are your worst critic" I might re do the cables after installing a graphics card. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it

Devendra95 reacted to harrynowl in AMD power consumption
1 - Older (32nm) process used, although their 28nm ones are considerably more efficient because they no longer use 32nm (Silicone on insulator) which they've used since around 130nm, it clocks high and eats volts.
2 - Large die sizes, the downside of lots of cores. For example the FX8350 is like 350mm^2 and the 4690/4790k are under 200mm^2.
3 - FX Pipeline, like the Pentium 4 the FX uses a long pipeline to process instructions. This has the knock off effect of higher power draw (Which is why Atoms and the ultra low power APU things have really short pipelines).

Simply because it is older but just in case:
