Kobz360 got a reaction from Blademaster91 in Nvidia is at it again: 3060 8GB released, up to 35% slower than its 12GB counterpart
Correct. Even on NVIDIA's own website, they don't clearly differentiate them as much as some people here seem to think. If it was so obvious, they would ensure that the "3060 Family" clearly split into 3060 Ti, 3060 12GB and 3060 8GB, but they do not. This is on top of the great point you've already mate.

Absolutely crazy how people are defending this... it's obviously not illegal or anything like that, but it's clearly unethical.

How are we supposed to know if this chart is for the 3060 12GB or 3060 8GB? Or we're supposed to be magicians? What's even funnier is that the 1060 is also listed there which also had a controversy of its own lmfao

Kobz360 reacted to RejZoR in RIP Adobe Flash, you changed the internet forever but you will not be missed
Everyone raving how they won't miss Adobe Flash at all and dismissing it was a method that for years delivered video content to the masses and provided endless hours of enjoyment through games and animations it helped create. It was also a method of creating insanely rich and visually appealing webpages that were just not possible through HTML at the time.

Just because it didn't age well in its final stage of lifecycle, that doesn't mean Adobe Flash didn't push online content to new heights. HTML5 literally replaced it because it copied its functionality without being dependent on 3rd party plugin and it's now an integral part of browser engines. So, people who diss and dismiss Adobe Flash just to look cool are annoying fools. Without Adobe Flash, I don't think we'd evolve HTML the way it has.

Oh boy, Intel is in trouble. The biggest wildcard is why the TDP differential between the 3700X and the 3800X is so high. At that point I thought there was something really up with power consumption, but then they announced the 3900X also at 105W..

Either way, this is pretty awesome and I'm curious to see if these parts will hit 5GHz. I've got a pretty good feeling they will and at these price points, it'll be interesting to see what Intel can do from here. That 12C/24T part at 499USD is a serious undercut

Indeed, but there must be a reason for that price and TDP different.

Kobz360 reacted to Misanthrope in Google says it will ban Neo-Nazi site after domain name switch
So many "But Antifa!" comments around. Yes they have been violent, no it's still not equiparable to Neo-Nazis: Antifa uses misguided and irresponsible tactics to fight against their enemies perceived or otherwise. Neo-nazis just want to take away rights from others, that's it. There's nothing misguided, nothing redeemable, they just want non-whites to go away and possibly die.

Even if pragmatically you're appalled by the violence on "both sides" you're still talking about exaggerating self defense to irresponsible and dangerous levels vs an actual racially motivated homicide a few days ago. It's just not the same morally speaking.

I understand Americans put a lot of value in freedom of speech but that doesn't means the Daily Stormer is entitled to force a private company to provide routing services to basically threaten many of their other customers. The government shouldn't limit the Daily Stormer in any way and Google's hegemony in the indexing services is notable, but that's a different conversation: as it stands they're still a private entity entitled to say "No, fuck off Nazis" and it still isn't against free speech, Nazis just need to start creating competing services and make them popular enough to matter.

Kobz360 reacted to Humbug in RX Vega Review and benchmarks "leaked"
hawai was and is actually a far superior architecture than the gtx 780. the gtx 780 was good on launch but quickly got overtaken by industry advancements. It's been years since it could keep up with hawai. 780 is objectively the worse product.

Vega would be flattered to be compared to Hawai. I don't see the similarity. Vega so far is looking like a much weaker launch.

    R7 1700 8/16 $319
So I would expect the Threadripper 16/32 version of the R7 1700 to cost x2 + something about $100-$150 extra which is not that much surprising really. (considering how AMD manufactures the Threadripper by basically taking multiple dies instead of new architecture/single big die like Intel).

However, the motherboards will be this time a lot more pricey.

So I find this rumor quite plausible.
