  1. i got the files i need the most out ASAP. a new 14tb wd blue is on its way. Is there any way to mirror the files safely once that HDD comes though?
  2. Hello, So some days ago my WD Blue 2TB drive started showing some issues. What it did was, boot up normally during startup, but then at the first time it goes under load, lets say i just go to the file explorer and open a folder, it is like it ejects from windows and it dissapears from everywhere. The drive is still spinning after that point. I need to recover some school files, and some coding projects. I don't need the whole drive, some GBs at most, most probably some megabytes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  3. Is there a way to force the whole Windows install to use the P106 for output? Plus, any answers to the Linux part of things? Because, if this is as good as the video points out, at THAT price, and doesn't get me banned on any competitive games, I don't see why this couldn't be an upgrade from my R9 380.
  4. Hello, As my beloved OnePlus 2 is now almost unusable because of the broken focus, and because it is practically impossible to multitask, I decided to shell out some money to buy myself a new phone. But, which phone should I buy? I was looking for the Pocophone F1, since I do think that the things it offers to the user is really good for the price (320EUR for me, since I live in Greece). Any other options I should look for? My budget is at about 300-400EUR, almost as much as I spent 2~ years ago for my OP2. I can go get used from local marketplaces, but I would prefer not, except if it is a pretty good deal. Thanks!
  5. Hello guys, Some years ago I bought an R9 380 4GB by MSI, and as you probably can understand, it is no longer capable of supporting my 3 monitors and gaming needs. My birthday is coming up this week, and I thought I should treat myself! So, I have 4 options on how to go about this: Wait a few weeks or months to see how the market will grow with the upcoming Volta cards Buy a new card with inflated prices from a store Buying a used card from Greece (Where I live) Buying a used card from London (My brother is a uni stud there, and my parents are going for a visit in a some weeks) You know what the first bullet means, and I really don't think we will be seeing any huge improvements IMHO. You know best though. 2nd bullet, we are talking about INFLATED prices. A GTX1060 6GB from MSI costs 500 euros here. 3rd option, Is one of the most versatile, I have seen many 980Tis for sale at 400-450 euros. 4th option, is the one I believe that is the best, but ultimately could fail. My brother doesn't know shit about PCs, so I could get scammed. But, the prices there are really good from a fast search around. I just found a GTX980Ti ACX2 (06G-P4-4993-KR) GPU for 350 pounds (~400EUR). I don't know how I should move with this. If I am going for a new one, I will either be going for a 1050ti or a 1060 6GB. If I am going for used, I don't know how I should go about buying which card. From where, which versions of the cards, etc. Here I have the specs of my PC: Please, I am really looking forward to see your answers. Thanks a lot!
  6. They definitely work for me, since the others I believe that there is a big problem for losing them. I guess that my current ones will have to work. Thanks!
  7. I am totally an anti-Apple man, but that is a conversation for another time. So you are talking about bluetooth headphones! Great idea! I happen to have a pair I got from china that is actually somewhat good! Thanks dude! Though one problem is the battery consumption of it. It might get out of hand, but I will try it ion the following days though.
  8. Hello there. As the student I am, I tend to listen to music on my way to and from school. When I need to go to class, I close my music app, close my phone, and stick my headphones and phone to my bag's pocket. When I do that, the cablers get all tangled up and all that bad stuff that happens to them. Also, I sleep with those earbuds, which means that when I actually fall asleep, they are getting tangled when I am moving around in my bed. Due to all these reasons, and I can list more, I have broken lots of earbuds, and they all have been about the cables that broke. My solution to this problem is that I have bought the KZ ZSTs, with changeable cables, and I have bought like 5 upgraded cables for 25 dollars on eBay. They sound good, but being a Chinese brand does have its backlash. I really dislike the fact that they have to go over my ear, in this weird shape, that makes me look like an idiot, since once I set them up correctly, I will ruin the bend because I put it in my bag. Today, I found out that I have a 10 dollar gift card that I can spend on something like that, and the only good earbuds they have available are the Razer Hammerhead V2, at around 77 bucks with a chromecast included. So I want to keep them safe, and keep them for a long time, since their sound, brand, and appearance are better than the KZ ZSTs. What can I do so that they don't break? I have thought of some things I could do, such as: Use hot glue to add a second layer to the cables. Sleeve them with a braided sleeve. What else would you suggest? Or do I stick with the KZ ZSTs? Are the Hammerhead V2s even worth it? Thanks!
  9. This install of windows is 3+ years old I cannot completely reset this PC. Sooo many edits and botches on that registry and the CMD, all the files, folders, picrtures... I'll die if i have to refresh my whole PC ;(
  10. Nice. Well, what else did I expect from windows?
  11. Though, dude, do you actually have anything to add? I am so irritated by this...
  12. What the problem is discussing. But what are you? Let that seep in you.
  13. It's a goof, it's a gaff, it's a little bit of a giggle
  14. Hello guys, Some 2-3 weeks ago, my brother was moving files over from his SSD to his USB and back to his laptop that he took to his uni at England. After that, my PC took really long boot, like 20 minutes or something. Normally, I press the power buton and after 5-10 second, it would be already asking me for my password. Right now, I press the power button, leave the room, go for a dump or what not, and hopefully it will be booted. I honestly don't know where to start with this. I Reset CMOS 2+ times, I reset windows, and then I disabled almost all startup apps, I just don't know what it is. Any help you have? I can't seem to think of anything. Thanks a lot!
  15. Hello guys, As all of us, I get aroused with watercooling. I have downloaded some pictures, and I want to set them as a wallpaper. I want to set wallpapers to fit my screens, which means that I want them to be 16:9. Is there a way that I can move all the pictures that are 16:9 t0 another folder? Also, if anyone has more watercooling pictures, please reply here! Thanks!
  16. I will mostly work on the ultrawide, since I need the extra real estate for my work and not the good resolution, and my GPU cannot support 1440p resolution for gaming. When I will want to game demanding games, I will switch to the 1080p 16:9 24". I just need the real estate. In general, I only need the real estate, since I will not game on it. I used a 34ich 1080p for a bit and I loved it. I don't have the horsepower to game. In my spare time, I will only use it for my various projects, and watching a YouTube video, and that satisfies me, and I only game with my friends online.
  17. Hello there! I am looking for an ultrawide monitor since February, and I have been collecting money since. I am in a dilemma. Should I go for the 34UM58, that will take up 1 of my 2 HDMI slots on my GPUs (I have an r9 380 and a gt 710) and have no freesync, or go for a really good 29inch ultrawide? I cannot buy any other 34inch monitor, since there is a 100 euro difference from the 34UM58 to the next cheapest model. I will be using this for Gaming and Working, and (if I buy this) I have a 24' 16:9 1080p screen and a 21' 16:9 monitor for secondaries, and cince my brother is leaving on September, I will be left with another 3 monitors(with which we were thinking with my father to make my room full of monitors, with all the monitors being VESA mounted in front of my bed, and some other places I have planned).
  18. Just Solidworks, games, and work. It will be his computer for all his college years, and he is in the mechanical engineering course. He doesn't care about thinness and weight if it provides more performance, and no touch screen, he doesn't like them.
  19. Hello guys! My brother is going to university on September, and he has around 1200EUR to spend on a machine. His university is also on a deal with HP that offers 30% off selected laptops, in the screenshot supplied. The price there is the one that I will have to pay, so with the discount. Which laptop should I buy, if I should buy from HP, and if not, which laptop should I go for?
  20. Hello, I have a TPlink AV500 powerline ethernet starter kit up and working. I want to extend my network with adding a new N300 powerline extender (model: TL-WA860RE), which has wireless capabilities. Will the new powerline work? It doesn't seem to have a reason not to work... Thanks a lot!
  21. Hello, I just plugged an old monitor to my rig for a second monitor. I plugged it in to my GPU, installed it with the VGA to DVI-I dual link adaptor, and it only shows something when in the BIOS, and in the windows loading screen. When I am booted into windows, the screen shows an out of range box, though the screen won't run in any resolution I throw at it. Any ideas on how to fix this? If you need one, I can record a video showing this, just reply saying that and I will edit this post with the video. Thanks a lot!
  22. The 1080Ti founder's edition (11GB) is around 760 dollars and the only model that is available, meanwhile the 1080 Superclocked is 597 EUR. Not possible. I have another 240GB SSD that I am going to give to him, so no need for that. For some reason, he really likes these sticks of RAM and he doesn't want to change them.
