  1. might have just answered my one question but wanted to leave my research here for anyone else who wants to do this. final option is the RAVpower. two different versions RP-WD01 - https://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-Wireless-Companion-Streamer-External/dp/B00AQUMZRA RP-WD03 - https://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-Wireless-Portable-Companion-Streamer/dp/B016ZWS9ZE this seems like a product Taran would like considering the name... radpower bikes lol
  2. Blast from the past... this one is for sale now for $194.92 and has 4 ports. so closer to what I'm looking for...if only I could find one for under $60 http://serverpartswarehouse.com/ultra-wideband-usb-hub-and-adpt.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=CjwKEAjw16HLBRDF9L2UmOCH7U8SJAASVESoOTJsCUrSY3QKc6z8AFyvqNkrv24w0MjTmo-zqQEQIhoCfjHw_wcB
  3. found this but $329 is way to much. I could see $60... maybe $100
  4. I will buy the HDMI transmitter and receiver and if the video quality is poor then I will return till I find one that works well. in any case if video can be transmitted with low latency I don't see why USB 2.0 can't be transmitted.
  5. I have found plenty of HDMI transmitter/receivers such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/Nyrius-Transmitter-Streaming-Projector-NPCS549/dp/B009E6R89C/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1500068806&sr=1-3&keywords=wireless+hdmi as well as plenty of USB power bricks. The one thing I have not found is something to wirelessly connect the Oculus rift to the computer. A wireless USB hub with at least one USB port. I know that the VIVE has the TPCAST but that is not released in the US.
  6. Both cards have 2GB of VRAM... yes i know that the 7870 performs better than the 260X. It is about 5-10fps faster in rise of the tomb raider on Very High preset and no anti aliasing
  7. I have them both in my PC but i can use only one or the other. Maybe there is a way to trick the computer into thinking that the 7870 is a 7790... wishful thinking i know.
  8. I currently use a R7 260X in my PC. a co-worker has an old graphics card that he is not using, the HD 7870. would I be able to get these two cards to work together in crossfire for a performance boost or is it only possible with a HD 7790?
  9. Originally my name started out at community tech guy because i wanted to be a tech guy for just everyone and start up a business. well i then changed it to That Tech Guy primaraly because i heard of That Game company and i thought it it was catchy and easy for people to remember. and if i ever grew to have employees i would call it Those Tech Guys or The Tech Guys. I never got enough money and I'm to socially awkward so maybe later when I'm rich and able to talk to strangers easier it will be a thing...
