I currently have a system that boots just off of a hard disk drive that has about a years worth of files stored on it. I am planning on purchasing a solid state drive in order to make boot times faster, and make windows more snappy. Is there a way i can migrate my OS to the ssd and make my ssd the boot drive while leaving the rest of my files in my hard disk drive untouched?

I have a DVI-D cable connecting my monitor to my GPU currently. Will switching to a Display Port cable improve my picture quality in any way?

So I just finished building a new computer, i installed the operating system, and hopefully all the necessary drivers. I am experiencing a lot of lag, and stuttering even in my desktop. When i try to play a video on my computer It says that chrome.exe extension is blocked from accessing graphics hardware. Then the whole system restarts. PlZ help. I already tried tdp. first set it to 8 then to ten from Regedit. That did not work. I have an nvidia gtx 960 with the nvidia ctrl. Panel. Monitor is plugged into the gpu with dual link dvi cable.

should it already contain the necessary base drivers?

can this be installed on a bare computer without an os?
