Gaming with integrated Graphics, game recommendations?
RetroSmoo replied to Spencerssy1's topic in PC Gaming
There's a bunch of early 2000s games that decent amount of players still play, myself included that are easy to run such as; Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, Soldier of Fortune II, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament and some have remasters on steam which I think still should be easy to run such as Quake 1 and 2, Age of Empires 1-3 and Age of Mythology Theres also a few old school mmos that still around such as Runescape, Ragnarok and classic WoW, Also a few fan made restorations of some shut down mmos such as FreeSO (The Sims Online), Pirates of the Caribbean, SWGLegends (Star Wars Galaxies), etc -
If it's just the game crashing then its just a game issue probably, it does crash for me every now and then during loading, especially during fast travel. My case maybe just becase I'm using proton on linux though. At least it's not your whole pc crashing?

I own these games but have never played them: Which to prioritize?
RetroSmoo replied to Actual_Criminal's topic in PC Gaming
just my opinon: Batman Arkham Asylum Batman Arkham City Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order -
Wine is usually best for basic windows applications, proton is usually optimised more for games. And for the .rar files you can open with 7zip which you can install on linux I use linux mint myself and find it is the most user friendly for beginners, and good idea to try duoboot while you're still learning

I recently got 1080ti myself and it plays well for all the games I play at 1440p
-
I had similar issue but i think it may have been PSU issue, however after undervolting my GPU it hasn't been crashing since.

Even if t here isn't a lot of new VR games coming out yet, there are heaps of previous games that have added VR support such as source games Half Life 2. Portal, Garry's Mod, etc (it'd be cool to play garry's mod on a cineamod server lol) or the 3d VR Cinema app is there too, lot of cool apps you can test out b4 there's more games coming out too. VR Arcade looks fun imo, some other games with VR support include; Grand Theft Auto V, Jedi Academy, Hawken (which looks awesome), etc lol

Star Wars Dark Forces, Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, Clive Barker's Undying, American McGee's Alice, Captain Claw, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Unreal Tournament 99, 2004, Quake 1-3, Half Life 1, Half Life 2 possibly, Max Payne 1 and 2, Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2 and all the old school retro pc games that you can run on DosBox, etc. You can probably also run snes, gba, n64 and psx emulators
