  1. I am looking forward to changing my phone soon, and both of them cost the same in my country. The problem is that both look very good for the price both regarding specs and overall looks. I like the design of the mi5 more, but what is holding me off is how fragile it seems to be. JerryRigEverything did a test on it and the phone broke really really quickly. Now mind you, bending a phone is not something that one normally does normally, but still. What if I drop it and it shatters. I do like the miui though, something that the p2 does not have. The p2 on the other hand I don't like the design that much. Their design are kinda similar, but not the same. It also seems to be a bit bigger at 5.5 inches so that is also bothering me a bit. The fact that for the same price I can get a snapdragon 800 series is also something that puts me off. However it has more ram, an sd card slot, and it is more sturdy overall. Also that battery lmao. I really don't know what to choose.
  2. I forgot to add that I run a 1080p resolution, if that matters in any way.
  3. I assume you have the same psu then?
  4. to be honest the thing that I am scared of is having my pc blow up or frying it up because I was too greedy and tried to push a 980ti on a 520w PSU.
  5. You probably saw the madness going on with AMD rx 580/570 stocks due to mining. This being said, while I did want to switch to team red, sadly, the 580's are nowhere to be found. So I decided, hey, I am just gonna grab a 1060 then... only that the stocks are empty on that too. Moreover, where there are some gpus on stock the price is ridiculously high. So browsing on a local store, I managed to find a gtx 980ti for about 280 euros(about 300 dollars). Knowing that a 980ti would be more powerful than a gtx 1060, or a 580, I decided I should take the chance and get it. It's only that I am not sure if my psu can handle it. While my psu is good, the wattage might be an issue. Here are my specs CPU: intel core i5 6500 RAM: 8GB DDR4 at 2444 mhz from Kingston Mobo: gigabyte b150 hd3 PSU: seasonic s12ii 520w The exact model of 980ti that I found for that price is the 980ti EVGA Superclocked. Do you think that my psu can handle that?
  6. It is 2 years old. Sadly my warranty expired(I am from Europe, and in my country warranties are a bit shitty).
  7. First my specs: Mobo: MSI FM2-A55M-E33(the memory frequency is the stock one, I didn't OC anything) CPU AMD athlon II x4 740, stock speeds Cooler:Arctic Freezer 7 pro rev.2(coupled with arctic silver thermal paste) RAM: 8GB DDR3 kingston hyperx fury(1333 mhz) GPU: MSI Gtx 750ti (factory OC)(no additional 6 pin/8 pin connection) PSU: Superflower SF-500P12N(500W) Hey guys! I had problems with random restarts while gaming for a year now. At first I thought it was my cpu that was overheating, due to the fact that both speccy and hwmonitor were giving me wrong readings. In reality my CPU had no heat issues whatsoever, and I realized that myself. Now my issue, did not include any sort of BSOD or error message, more like, my monitor during gaming went black and my pc restarted. Most threads on the internet about this issue pointed to a hot cpu, so in turn I too assumed my cpu was the culprit. Upon downloading a software that came with my motherboard to check temperatures and voltages I saw that in reality my CPU was running with about 44 degrees in full load. AIDA 64 was showing me the same values. I also tested the power supply and the ram and they had no issues whatsoever. Now let me tell you, not for 1 second I considered my gpu to be the issue here. The way I managed to artificially recreate the problem(by accident) was when I tried to push my factory overclock to its limits. When I added more to the core clock and the memory clock and ran Heaven Benchmark the screen almost instantly went black and my pc restarted. I tried it 2 times more and the result was the same. Which means that indeed it was the gpu was causing this issue. The problem is that I could only recreate this problem in benchmarks when I had my overclock manually pushed to the max values. With my factory overclock that came with the card, this issue was not appearing during benchmarks HOWEVER, it was present in long sessions of gaming. This means that surely the OC was unstableHow do I solve this problem? On one hand, I could revert the values to stock values, this being the safest bet and the fastest one. That means however that I will lose all the additional performance of the overclock. On the other hand taking the values down bit by bit until it is stable will take a lot of time, since I need to test the card(by playing) extensively. Could there be another solution?
  8. Whoa, I didn't knew Kaby lake will run on lga 1155. Thanks for the tip, this changes things.
  9. In theory yes. However it will take me ages to get there. Most likely I will be going with the regular skylake and the z170. I have seen that you can overclock them with a bios downgrade.
  10. I really don't know what to go with, since my budget is a bit limited too. This being put, I would like to think that I have some sort of longevity with my cpu+mobo combo. I am not saying future proofing because I know that when it comes to tech this concept is a bit of a myth. Anyways, I can get to choose between going for a skylake non K build, a Haswell refresh, or a simple skylake build without overclocking. The thing is, I am torn between these options since, I don't know what option is the best one for long term. From what I have read so far Skylake, while being the newest architecture from Intel doesn't boost the performance that much. Most of the time an i5 4460 will deliver the same gaming performance as an i5 6500. However, being a new socket, this means that if I ever want to upgrade my cpu after I buy this new one, options will be available. On the other hand the haswell route, is more easy on my pocket, while delivering the same performance. Since I already have ddr3 memory, I only have to buy the cpu and the mobo. As for overclocking, I don't even know yet. I have never overclocked my cpu before, so I could learn to do it. The problem here is the fact that K cpus even, haswell unlocked cpus are very expensive compared to a non k cpu. Now I do know that overclocking directly increases game performance(when more cpu juice is needed), and also prolongs the lifespan (when it comes to perfomance I mean) on a cpu. But that means getting a mobo that also has a chipset which can overclock, which then again means more cash. I will write down below the prices that I am looking at, so you guys can get an idea. Keep in mind that these are the local prices here. i5 4460+Mobo(non overclockable chipset)+no ram(since I already have the ram needed) = ~270 dollars i5 4690k + mobo with z170 chipset + no ram = ~400 dollar i5 6500 + mobo + ddr4 ram = 350 dollars i5 6600k + mobo with z170 chipset + ddr4 =450 dollars. What about the value/performance/longevity(when it comes to gaming of course)? Which one would you recommend me to go with?
  11. I also have the same dillema, with nvidia and amd cards at the moment. I would gladly go with AMD, but my psu only has 1 6 pin connector. Should I get another psu just for a future gpu upgrade? The psu is rather new...
  12. I have an amd athlon II x4 740 cpu and a 750ti. I have gathered the money for either an i5 and a mobo or an r9 380. I cant get both and I dont know what to upgrade first. Any advice?
  13. I have the same gpu and an i3 equivalent. The game runs on a mix of medium and high settings with 35-50 fps depending on the scenery. Never dropped below 30.
  14. OS: windows 10 Driver version: latest from nvidia CPU: amd athlon x4 750(roughly the equivalent of an i3/fx4300) RAM: 8GB ddr3 HDD: some 1tb hdd 7200 rpm from WD. Nothing special you see. Oh I frogot to mention my gpu has an overclock at about +300 at core clock and +600 at memory clock.
  15. Reporting from a 750 ti. The game runs really good, I am getting 40-45 fps on average on high settings(except for SSAO) the lowest I got, being 32 when there's too much stuff happening. No crashes thus far
