Hi! I'm a 17 year old student in attendance at a University near my hometown. I am very interested in the Computer and Online community and I have come to really start getting interested in building my own PCs, but also learning a lot about the hardware and engineering inside of them. I hope to see you around, tell me hi!

  1. With your current build, don't even worry about Minecraft or CS:GO. I personally have an AMD FX-4350 + SC GTX 950 and I can record MC and CSGO with Fraps 60FPS+ with plenty of room. (I actually use VSync on MC, medium Optifine settings 512x utilities 128x blocks.)
  2. I would love to have an SSD specifically because I'm running a 2 high-capacity HDDs and my file transfers as well as load times on my games are simply terrible. With this, I'd be able to increase the speeds of reads/writes which I would LOVE so much.

    Profile Picture Style?

I made, what I think is, a cool style of making a realistic profile picture. Steps: 1.) Colored overlay on a selfie (<-- lol). 2.) Remove the actual photo layer, leaving only the "drawing." 3.) This leaves a broken color layer, so copy and paste this layer AROUND 20 times. 4.) This creates a more complete photo but leaves some holes. Underlay a solid black layer and look at how much it looks like you!
  4. Hmm, there should be too much of a difference, should there be? As long as I'm using the correct user, hostname, and port, I shouldn't be timing out. That's the first problem as the actual file settings cannot be troubleshot till then.
  5. I'm attempting to upload from ShareX to my VPS using their FTP uploader. I copied straight from a friend's settings, shouldn't have any problem. When attempting to connect via FTP, I simply get a timed out on my connection. When I attempt to connect via SFTP, I get "Connected!," but still no correct upload to my subpath. If anyone might be able to help, I'm hopelessly lost. Thanks!
  6. GeForce Panel => Custom Installation => Option to uninstall from there and you will be able to get it all to work.
  7. Toxic? Purchase Minecraft => Head to kohi.us => Login to Factions => Be disgusted CSGO is terrible tho. I've been getting more and more trolls soloing and it's basically stalled me in my ranking up. I top frag most games in a 5 man, but soloing I tend to go even KD? Usually derankers or trolls. Main problem in the game is the cheap price. For 1/3 the price of most games you can get an already ranked account to smurf/troll on.
  8. Alright, I recently upgraded to an SC GTX 950 from a GT 720 (both EVGA Cards). When I went to GeForce Exp. to update the drivers to match my GTX 950, I receive fail errors across the board. When downloading the latest drivers from Nvdia's website I also get the errors. I finally went to my device manager and this is what I was getting: Just assuming that was my Card not being recognized, I updated the drivers. That download is currently stalled and also not working. What could I do to fix this, am I missing an obvious step or what? ___________________________________________________________________ Windows 7 HP 64-bit AMD FX-4350 EVGA SC GTX 950 (Card not working) 12GB Crucial Ballistix Sport (1600 I believe) 500w PSU ASRock Extreme3 R2.0 BIOS: American Megatrends, Inc. Molex Cable Management

So my dad had an old 500w PSU and he thinks it's a waste to upgrade to a PSU that he didn't buy in 2002. I attempted cable management on a Corsair Carbide Air 540
  11. Alrighty. I guess I'll be purchasing a cable to run. Thank you all for all your help!!
  12. I figured running the ethernet would be best. Yes, wireless (WiFi) through a wired adapter.
  13. Okay, so I'm on a 3.36 mbps/0.83 mbps plan from Frontier (It's a terrible package, but it's what my Dad will buy). We are using a Netgear B90-7550 Modem/Router provided by Frontier (http://www.amazon.com/Netgear-7550-Wireless-Frontier-B90-755044-15/dp/B00APD7PNW). The problem I'm experiencing is multiple streaming cutting off hard. For example, if one device is streaming video and I am playing, say, Counter-Strike:GO, I will experience latency spikes of 600ms at times, but I'm not dropping any packets. If 3-4 devices are streaming video, it seems to be fine as well. My question is, even on the basic low-speed package we are on, is there any way to help reduce the latency issues I experience on my PC (connected over WiFi on a Netgear N-300 Wireless USB Adapter)? I was assuming (having no knowledge of this kind of stuff) that going to a router only box and using the B90 for a modem or running a CAT 6/5e cable from the box to my PC would help it. Sorry if something I said was completely wrong, I have 0% knowledge of any of this. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it a ton! Thanks!!
  14. Silver Elite, 180ish hours. I top frag all my games. I play with GNM-MG2 (EU, but I'm from US) and I always frag top 3, top fragging sometimes. My problem -- I like to do stupid things and troll so I don't rankup
