  1. After days of research I think Im gonna go with one of these... what psu would be good for it? CPU is 6700K I probably wont overclock the gpu.
  2. Cant disagree but if there's something I dont like is having to upgrade your pc every year... feels like a certain burden thats why I wanted the best avaliable atm... Max I could do is get a 980ti and then sell it if pascal is indeed such a big evolution as people think
  3. Which would you recomend? I was thinking about the 620 M12 Evo as Seasonic is a really good PSU brand but what do you guys say?
  4. probably but considering the money and the amount of users they have do you really think they would just let AMD crush them so to say? Imagine a 300-400 $ card performing as good as the 980ti, the amount of bashing they would recieve would be way over the board and I doubt they would just look at it and let it happen speciallu knowing the advantage they have over AMD
  5. IMO there's only one way too look at it.... nvidia right now is dominating the market having much more power on the market than AMD... I mean even if it is true that nvidia has trouble with async shaders do you really think they would just let AMD gain the upper hand that easily specially with the market share they have? Now if DX12 will indeed affect nvidia or not... well lets wait and see
  6. any major diffrences between both?
  7. What kind of games do you like?
  8. Don't feel sure about choosing AMD tbh at least for now, I just wished there would be a dx12 game that actually would show the diffrences between each gpu
  9. Yeah im in doubt of which to choose between these two
  10. weird I had a diffrent idea... I remeber buying a 8800GT (200$ card) and playing everything maxed up for quiet a few years... nowadays 200 dollar cards are cards to play games at high-very high 1080p with 30-40fps for a year or two
  11. You dont have to uninstall anything, just go to nvidias website and install the newest drivers and you should be good to go
  12. And I mean something that'll last for a good number of years (3-4)
  13. Yeah thats another fear I have... getting an amd card when suddenly a driver comes out that makes nvidia cards perform even better... not to mention amd isnt exactly at the best of situations as of now so kinda afraid to pull the trigger on amd
  14. Not a big fan of sli or cf tbh prefer to go with best single card perfomance... maybe ill wait a couple weeks to see what nvidia has to say about this controverse and then ill either get a fury or 980ti
  15. Yeah thats my issue as I have an old 5750HD... it can barely run anything with it and I wanted the next upgrade to be powerfull enough to hold me for at least 4 years without needing me to upgrade
  16. Im torn between this or getting a 980ti and then sell it if things go wrong for nvidia... second option is something id like to avoid as im not a big fan of selling cards
  17. Sadly waiting is not an option as my current pc isnt in a good shape either... most i can wait is a month or so but I doubt there ll be a dx12 game until then
  18. I think this matter is something that almost everyone on here knows about considering the amount of time it has been mentioned. Anyway, without going into much detail... I was about to buy a 980ti. It's an incredibily powerful card and since its been a couple of years when I last upgraded my PC I thought this was the best choice when suddenly... I hear this whole thing about Async shaders. AMD cards perfoming much better with DX12 is making me afraid to buy something like the 980ti... I mean with or without dx12 the 980ti is a card that'll keep me good for years but still, I dont feel like wasting this kind of money on a card when a year later the 390x for example performs just as good... Curious about your opinion guys as this is something thats been haunting me for days...
  19. Good to hear that as I'm planning on getting one aswell. Only worry is how long it's gonna last as I'm looking for a monitor to last for years not something to replace in a year or two... seems like a nice choice of screen though
  20. First of I'm not trying to create any wars or anything... So here's my point. I was so hyped to get a 980ti (still am) and suddenly some guys tell me that I should go with AMD because when DX12 becomes regular, cards like the r290x will be as powerfull as the 980ti. My question is: is this even possible? I mean I've known all about that ashes of singularity controversy and what not but is it truly possible for amd to gain the upper hand like this? I don't remember where, but today I saw a whole article based on this controverse comparing the support each GPU's will have on DX12 and what not. What do you think
  21. thanks, maybe I'll be going with an ultrawide after all
