  1. I did some research and I pretty much know that it means the CPU is unlocked and easier to overclock but what exactly does that mean?
  2. I'm buying from novoatalho a portuguese shop, despite the fact that I could get it from amazon or so, I'd prefer to get it from this shop as it's near my location and it's a trustworthy shop as I never had any problems with it. Thanks, going to take a look at them
  3. It's cheaper than 200$ and the point of buying it is because it has 3 things I was looking for... DDR3 support (it's DDR3 and DDR3L), optical output and the 5.1 support.. Sadly the only Z170 with DDR3 support is the Z170-P D3 which has only that out of the things Im looking for... DDR3 support
  4. I wish I could but I need this motherboard ASAP (today or tomorrow) so that's why I'm willing to sacrifice the unlocked capability from the 6700K in case this is actually a good motherboard.
  5. I see, and what I could get at a similiar price that would have similiar perfomance to the evo 212? cooler is for a 6700K btw
  6. I know this will sound a bit dumb but I don't have plans on using the unlocked multiplier... The issue is that the only skylake CPU's on the shop that I can buy stuff from are the i5 6600 and the i7 6700k. Sadly no 6700 non k version.
  7. Is this psu good enough for this combo. I have no plans on overclocking at least for the current time being (If I decide to overclock, I'll have to change more than just the psu on the setup so for now I won't) So is the psu enough for the G1 980ti without overclocking?
  8. So i was thinking of getting the 212 evo but suddenly the shop where I wanted to buy it from decided to stop selling the 212 evo and instead started selling the TX3 at the same price. So are there any major diffrences between these two?
  9. suprisingly I have the SZ's aswell and yes the amount of bass is insane, feels like a sub glued to your ears but it's true that I barely use them as I have a pair of beyerdynamics for most of the stuff I do
  10. Thinking of combining this with a 6700K and a 980ti. Also I need the DDR3 and the 5.1 output so this seems like a nice motherboard for my case. What's your opinion?
  11. well I don't really want something at an IPS kind of level but from what I've seen for example the xl2420 which is a TN aswell looks really good.
  12. no need for any of that just the pc and it's main components
  13. Ive recently created a build around this price and posted it here but I m curious to see what you would sugest with this budget.
  14. Was looking at the aoc g2460pg but it seems it has bad contrast and blacks are really important when gaming for me
  15. What exactly does it mean when a monitor has bad contrast ?
  16. 27inches with 1080p is something I woudn't recomend tbh... better go with 27, 1440p 144hz without g-sync or 24, 1080p, 144hz with g-sync
  17. Just hoping I'm not the only bass freak in here. If you are indeed a basshead than please post what you use to enjoy some nice, deep bass
  18. No you're still gtg for current games (unless you're a freak who needs to have everything maxed up) I on the other hand have a 5750HD... yeah... a 5750HD! This is the kind of situation where it's valid to say my card sucks
  19. Yeah bad choice of words I guess What i meant is you could buy a 300$ gpu and be good maxing everything up for about 4 years while nowadays a 300$ gpu get's outdated in less than 2 years
  20. I mentioned this in another post aswell and my doubt has to do with the fact that nowadays you have to spend 300-400$ on a GPU to be satisfied for a year or two. 8 Years ago for example you could buy a 8800gt(200$) or a 8800gts(300$) and you would be good to go for 3-4 years easily with all settings maxed up (with AA off), but nowadays you buy a 300$ card just for it to be outdated a couple years later. Im sure there are people who think diffrently and wont agree with me but from my point of view it seems that the price/perfomance ratio when it comes to gpus is incredibily lower than it was almost a decade ago.

  22. Price diffrence between 4790k and the 6700k is pretty much none where I'm from (Portugal) x99 mobo's are way too overpriced in portugal. Almost double the price than a 1151 or a 1150 mobo.
  23. Doesn't have to be one of those expensive motherboards with sli and all. Just doing some research and curious to see what motherboards there are with those things I mentioned. Would also be nice if it had a slight overclocking ability
  24. So I'm building a new rig for gaming and rendering and I'd like to know your opinion on it and what could be changed http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PDryP6 - GPU is the G1 version - Yes I need the soundcard just for the 5.1 and optical port... I would change the motherboard with that already included if I could but this is the only z170 motherboard with DDR3 - And yes I need DDR3... I know the price diffrence is not much but still I'd like to save as much money as I can on other components like case, ram, ssd (CPU, GPU and PSU are the only components I'm focusing my money on) as I still haven't choosed a monitor.
  25. They wont come out with the big guns at least until end 2016 that if you re lucky considering we are talking about a new process completely... anyway a 980ti will be more than enough for years to come. Of course if you dont mind waiting you can always wait a year or so for pascal specially if you re considering 4K gaming... if not than go 980ti
