  1. If all your doing is a check in bios then you should be fine to leave the cooler off. But it should be a quick as possible...like "Yep MOBO and CPU are ok, GPU is working, RAM and SSD detected, ok off". Don't try and troubleshoot, for that you will need more time and then I would suggest installing the cooler.
  2. The current setup is two loops CPU (Threadripper 1950X) - 1 EK D5 Pump Res, 8 EK 120mm Vardar Fans on a push/pull rad GPU (2X GTX1080TI's) - 1 EK D5 Pump Res, 8 EK 140mm Vardar Evo Fans on two push radiators (One of these is dead) Case Fans, 1 Rear EK 120mm Vardar Fan, 3 EK 140mm Vardar Evo Fans (Two of these are dead)
  3. Hey Everyone, So last year I built this (but never finished the build log...sorry). End the end I had planned on using a Corsair Commander Pro and some Silverstone CPF04 PWM splitters. Well, it's been a nightmare to say the least. My CPU loop is running off the motherboard and my GPU loop and front fans are running off the commander pro all because nothing would work right. In the first few months, I lost one of the EK Vardar fans on the front. A few weeks later one of the primary GPU radiator fans and now another of the front fans. So 3 dead fans (and another sounds like it's not far off every now and then) two on the same splitter is starting to make me suspect the splitters are the cause of the issue. I think I have two options, troubleshoot the problem more and swap out the splitters with something else or replace the whole janky setup with something more fit for the job. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just suck it up and get an Aquaero and some Splitty 9's?
  4. @john01dav try this https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-rounded-head-screws/=1c4bdzs or this https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-rounded-head-screws/=1c4beqv and just work out how long you want them. So long as its Phillips Pan Head in the sizes @RicY mentioned you should be ok...its also gonna be way cheaper this way. There might even be a specialized "Fastener" store somewhere in your area you could try if you don't want to risk it online.
  5. If you know the screw type you are looking for then a site like https://www.mcmaster.com/ will be much cheaper for greater quantity.
  6. There are some Optus 4G options which have decent-ish downloads. But you're looking at around $100pm for about 140GB and the whole 4G problem. Also whats your line attenuation like (there will be a setting in your modem to tell you). This may indicate a line problem which you can pass on the Telstra (who will more than likely ignore you anyway sadly).
  7. The easiest way I can think of doing this would be to use programmable relays instead of directly from the instrument. This depends of course on how the instrument can send its alarm signal. Which model is it? We use a fair amount of Yokogawa at work (as well as ABB, Allen Bradley, Emerson and Schneider). You could then do some other stuff as well. Some of the temperature equipment we have uses flashing lights to indicate a new event.
  8. I have noticed that (among some other weird product and shipping changes)...though I wish they were the CaseLabs agent rather than Scorptech.
  9. The Thermaltake core X71 will work with that radiator config, at least according to PCCG. **Edit** Apparently we posted the same thing at the same time.
  10. It's update day. Well, the bulk of the parts have now arrived, including the most exciting part...the 1950X Threadripper. Don't worry about the K400's, they are for another project. I now need to order some more fans and fan splitters, while also deciding if ill order something like an Aquero and some liquid monitoring gear...im still undecided on this. I've also had to order another memory mod pack from CableMod as one of the spare packs I had contained a dodgy heat spreader. Now for the weirdest thing I've had to order...I had Shapeways make me some 15mm spacers so I can mount the res mounts without tilting everything back too far. It's the most annoying thing because it's something I could have done in like an hour with a 3d printer and both of them would be mounted and good to go. Ah well...just need to wait now.
  11. This look sweet, i really dig the way you have done your bends looks almost like they just kinda melted into the place they are in now. Also.. ...I'll show myself out
  12. More components arrived today and seeing as I still have the day off I got a little bit of stuff done so far. Order yet more parts from case labs...these are at least 3 weeks away so it will be lots of little stuff from here I guess. So for those who don't know...the Magnum SMA8 arrives flat packed in these amazingly high-quality plastic bags with all the smaller parts in zip lock bags. Almost done This thing was a life saver...was about $200 on ebay with a drill, bag and some bits. Well worth it in my eyes. And here it is assembled...not that it matters because I will need to pull it apart again to mount the front radiator mount. Here is what they sent instead of the radiator mounts. Anyway...this all arrived today...so of course i mounted the motherboard and started test fitting the pump/res Thanks everyone...if i do anything else today ill post a few more pics.
  13. Looks really nice and clean, well done. ? If it weren't for a small bit of reflection off the M.2 cooler I would have sworn this photo was taken in black and white.
  14. So short update (no pictures...yet) The rad mounts for the case did not arrive, instead, i got some doors for a chenbro rack mount case. It took all day back a forward via email to convince them of the stuff up. But I've ordered all my water cooling parts now with the exception of the fans. Im still deciding if I'll wait for the EK ones I want to come back in stock or some Corsair MagLev's. If someone wants to comment either way im all ears. Ill most likely need to call a supplier anyway to see what they have. Also buying a driver just for putting the caselabs case together was the best idea I've had in ages, there were at least 70 screws in the bloody thing. Oh...also the mobo is on its way and I have the rest of the week off.
  15. I don't see what the big deal is... My Sen HD280's went dead on one side when they realised what postage was going to cost they requested the same thing. New pair arrived about a week after I sent in the photo.
