  1. It has been several hours since i had this problem and the computer decides to finally boot up with no sign of anything wrong and goes straght to OS, just as i make this post. Idk why or how but i am grateful this damn thing is working. Thank you all.
  2. MISTAKE MADE IN THE MOBO BIOS CAN'T MAKE THE PC TO BOOT NO MORE NOTHING BOOTS AT ALL TRYED TO JUMP START IT WITH NO SUCCESS mobo: MSI B250I GAMING PRO AC I should change my username to very dumb rookie builder.. A few days ago i built my 2nd gaming pc. Everything went well, booted perfectly, everything installed correctly. I have been gaming hard on it ever since. I have been experiencing something i didn't with my first pc. Every time i boot the system i go straight to bios. I know there is a way to change this on the mobo bios but since i didn't figure it out right away the first time, i decided to figure it out later since i was too exited to game on it. Today i decided to figure it out again. And i actually did but decided to keep exploring my mobo bios to know more about it. This is when i commited my dumb mistake. I DON'T KNOW WHERE IN THE BIOS I ENDED UP BUT I GOT INTO A CODING SECTION. I TRIED TO GO BACK BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. THE 3 SECONDS I WAS ALOUD TO PRESS "ESC" HAD PASSED AND I WAS STUCK IN THERE. I DID NOT UNDERSTOOD HOW TO GET OUT OF IT. TRIED EVERY KEY ON THE KEYBOARD. NOTHING WORKED SO I FORCED POWERED IT DOWN. I then pressed the power button and it wouldn't boot anymore. Try every little hit i knew. Tried to jump start it with a screwdriver too on what i hope to be the right pins in the right circumpstances and nothing happened. Tried clearing the cmos too and nothing. Help idk what to do anymore. Everything was going fine for the bit i had it which is less than a week. As you may understand now my knowledge of computers is still limited. Got into it about 3 years ago. Focused on the gaming. Not on usefull stuff ...
  3. I am a first time builder and I would like to make sure I am doing things right. I have a brand new EVGA GTX 970 FTW+ graphic card and an EVGA Gold Standard 1050w power supply. The gpu has an 8pins port and a 6pins port. The power supplies comes with 4 PCI-E cables with an 8pins connector and attach to it another 6+2 pins connector. Do I have to use two PCI-e cables, one for the 8pins port and another cable for the 6pins port. Or is one cable enough to power the 8 and 6 pins port?? The manual of both products wasn't clear enough to me so that is why I am asking the question. The reason of why one cable is enough or why two cables are necessary would be very much appreciated. Thank you all.
  4. Since there's no way for me to find out if I will be connected on the same circuit and that if I am I risk to get some issues, even tho I already know that I have good wifi reception where I'm at, is the powerline adapter still worth it? Because like verybody else I'm all for the fastest. But I would like it to be safe too..
  5. You guys are crazy fast!! Thanks!! Now I just need to find out what a powerline adapter looks like.. And no my house really isn't that old lol! My router is about 20ft away but the most effective way to get to it would be for me to make the cable go along the ceiling and I don't know if I want to go through all that yet.

  7. Hey guys I'm about to build my first gaming pc and I have questions in regards of the internet and please forgive my ignorance. I will keep my future pc in my bedroom but I have no access to an ethernet port from here, my router is far away and I don't know if there is a possibility to connect myself remotely with an ethernet cable.. So now I believe my only solution is going wireless with either a pci-e adapter or those usb adapters. I chose to build with the MSI Z97A Gaming 7 motherboard over the MSI Z97A Gaming 9 because I didn't want to pay so much extra for basically just the Wi-fi option and hopefully find a cheaper solution. So finally here are my questions: 1. Is there any way for me to connect myself with an ethernet cable with some sort of adapter I would plug in the wall socket or something of the kind? 2. If not, is going with a pci-e adapter better than the usb adapters? Keep in my I've never used a pci-e adapter 3. If I use a pci-e adapter, will it still be possible for me to use SLI? Again my mobo of choise is MSI Z97A Gaming 7, I will get 1 gpu for a moment and then plan on getting a second one later on. I feel I would have a space or connetions conflict. This is my first time on a blog or forum ever, I would like to thank everyone with your patience and for taking the time to answer to a rookiebuilder
