this isn't news....been going on for years and totalbiscuit brings it up every time the topic comes up

I had a 9mm, but then I felt silly with such a full size pistol on the smaller caliber. Everyone thinks of the 45 when they think USP/HK.... then I rented a USP40 at the local range, wasn't that impressed - felt too middle of the range then found a good deal on a USP45. didn't have night sights, so I guess I'll have to treat myself to that some bday/xmas down the line...but did come with 3 mags with curved baseplates

(US - Amazon) - Dremel Cordless Rotary Tool $75, $100 OFF!
exyia replied to Tocsin_786's topic in Hot Deals
these rotary tools don't have sharp cutting blades - they require/rely on more speed/power to get the job done. I would not waste my time with a battery operated one -
LOL USPS is by far the least reliable way to ship anything

doesn't matter what the interest rate is....you pay 0.0000000000000000000000000000% interest if you pay it on time if you can pay it in cash, you should be able to pay it in full on the due date ~30 days later then, you get anywhere from 1%-5% cash rewards back depending on your credit card, rewards program, etc. and build credit (one of the only ways to build a credit history on a good note from nothing - most others get theirs started with student loans)
-
why use a debit card? if you're responsible with how much you know you can afford, what's the point of using a debit card? credit cards have no fees and have rewards programs for usage. you use somebody else's money temporarily, build credit history, AND get rewarded for it there's no reason to use a debit card if you can use a credit card responsibly - sadly the general public is incapable of that

huh, guess 10mm is a bit more popular than the last time I checked also not a glock fan, so I can't keep up with all their model numbers I stand corrected

Sure The Focus ST was first to market. Ford pushed this model HARD as the "next big thing" if you will. They were 100% serious about it and committed to it being the next "IT" performance car. The Mazdaspeed3 had been without updates forever, the Hyundai offerings for a hot hatch were "meh" (Veloster Turbo wasn't out yet I believe). Hyundai had tried to fill this 20k-30k performance car gap already with the Genesis Coupe at the time - it never took off. It was a new platform and was marketed just as much as the next coming....but aftermarket wasn't convinced. Essentially a chicken and the egg problem Ford went the extra step and PROVIDED Focus ST's to major aftermarket companies (if anyone remembers, there was a time when it seemed EVERY shop was "conveniently" picking a Focus ST as their next "project shop car"). Being provided a car is a HUGE deal....aftermarket companies - even successful ones - don't have that much extra cash to just throw at a brand new platform in hopes it pays off. It was a big motion of confidence on Ford's part. Cobb already had support before the car's release (which is a huge deal btw, if Cobb is interested enough to support it fully on their AP software suite) and then they eventually ask for the cars back - which is completely fine. It had been over a year and they accomplished what they set out to do - create enough hype and interest to the market about the car that there will be a big enough customer base after release to sustain the market then they go and make a change like I mentioned above. Apparently some big ECU tuning related issues as well. Ask any aftermarket company that already works with small margins, this is a huge kick in the nuts. No shop I know of bothered to buy their own Focus ST afterwards to continue R&D after that... Then the Fiesta ST a few years later - a pretty muted launch as far as aftermarket goes. Most companies are reluctant to consider supporting the platform after the Focus ST fast forward to now....how many ST cars (either Focus or Fiesta) are there in the aftermarket? how many are competing in SCCA or NASA events? Let alone being competitive? They're non-existent in Drag
-
hey, they have every right to do it I'm just saying....to completely screw over all the aftermarket support that you've been pushing for when releasing the car (because they PROVIDED the cars to aftermarket companies).....leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I sympathize for the aftermarket. People can drool all over the next Focus all they want, but I still see it's aftermarket support middling based on how the Focus ST and Fiesta ST panned out. Such universal appraise from the factory, yet I still hardly see any of them today /shrug

at least you'll avoid weird 1st model year design choices....Ford makes such weird ones for some silly reason the Focus ST completely changed suspension spring diameters after the first model year.....like....wtf? why.......pretty much a huge middle finger to all the suspension companies that put in the R&D effort and promoted their new car/platform. tons of companies have a sour taste in their mouth after that (I know my sponsor, Race Comp Engineering is - focused back on Subaru's after that)

hard to build a performance car in the $30k range these days just with inflation. sad truth of the current market/situation hell it's hard to get a reasonably equipped Civic or Carolla for under 18k these days (recently helped buy one for my graduating sister).....I still can't wrap my head around that....these used to be ~$14k cars..... I used to hate on the BRZ/FRS all the time, saying it's way overpriced and overhyped until someone gave me a reality check and look at current car prices on the market....cars are just way more expensive these days

fyi, better Ubisoft game deals can be had by buying physical Ubisoft has dropped prices of nearly all their games in PHYSICAL form (not download codes). Unity is $15, Watch Dogs $11, etc etc Check your local Best Buy and other stores. If they haven't changed their prices to match, Amazon has them with Prime shipping

but we're not lawyers - I'm sure those that are will be able to find some long, convoluted explanation on how it does quality as treason and in the end, it doesn't solve the real problem - the NSA existing. soooooo, again, this petition is pointless. Say the government agreed and did give him full pardon - the NSA still exists, which is the real problem. all this attention on the whiteblower after he's blown the whistle is a waste of time imo
-
but if the officials report that there never was a fire and deny any reports/evidence of one...... I'm just pointing out the reasoning behind the call for Treason. You can't deny that what he did was against the law, and everyone with pitchforks keeps forgetting that. They should be arguing against the NSA's existence - not about what Snowden did. It was treason. Probably completely justifiable treason, but still treason and why this particular petition is a waste of time. In a completely fair court, he would be guilty (courtrooms are judgements of the law, not morality) because he compromised the very premise of how NSA works.....by secrecy to the public. I don't understand what's so hard to understand about that. just because it hasn't lead to some big conspiracy hack or data breach doesn't mean it's not a breach of security
