Depends on use case, I've tried switching off Windows but the inconvenience of dual booting for certain applications is an annoyance. Other people make it work fine though, Manjaro is my favorite version of Linux but Ubuntu is pretty easy to get into as well.

I hierd that hardvare acseleration is setting related to that, have you researched something about that?
I turned it off in audio settings, not in the browser though

I don't know if this is related, but I had a similar problem when mining with Nicehash. When not using my PC I mine and this obviously puts a lot of load on the GPU.
When I am mining this problems occurs but when I am not mining it does not so I think it just has something to do with GPU load. Then again I could be totally wrong.
There's pretty much nothing else running in the background, just discord so I doubt this would be the issue.

Recently I purchased an ROG Zephyrus G14 and it's been a great laptop so far however I have a weird problem where when it's running off the Radeon iGPU, the video will eventually lag 2-3 seconds behind the audio. This doesn't seem to happen when the 3060 is active. I've tried reinstalling audio drivers, radeon drivers, and tweaking a bunch of settings within the sound control panel and I'm not sure how to proceed now.

Emulators for 16 bit consoles maybe. Make sure to get the roms "legally" though

If not being able to kill it is important, and sound massively isn't, the Sennheiser Urbanites aren't bad.
They're not amazing sounding or anything, but they felt pretty well made.
Gave mine away to my niece after I used them for a year or so in Uni, though I haven't seen her in like 3 years
so I have no idea if they're still around.
They're a bit old, so they're not expensive either.
Anything that sounds the same or better than my M40X's. Are the XL's similar in quality? I don't like on-ears much.

Hey everyone, I'm looking to pick up a new pair of headphones as my ATH-M40X's hinge is broken and currently held together with electrical tape. I'm looking for some nice quality headphones that I can throw in my bag without worrying about the hinges breaking like my M40X's did. Anything around or less than $200 would be nice, I'm not super into audio stuff so anything that sounds decent is fine.

Not bad for a whole package

Silly me, its a 24 pin installed, not a 8-pin. Im sorry for the confusion, kinda got to me sitting 8 hours going ham on forums. Took its toll I guess.
You should have both, the 8 Pin EPS connector for the CPU and the 24 pin ATX connector as well as any auxiliary power cables for graphics cards or SATA devices.

Yep, only one cable from my PSU to my motherboard's 8-pin input. 8-pin to 8-pin.
Had no idea about this. Ill try to add my 970 to the empty video card slot and get back with results.
You do have the 24 pin installed correct? I think they were asking if you had all your power cables plugged in.

That's a steal, have fun with your 1080.

Your system can't boot without a GPU installed, the 3900XT doesn't have an iGPU.

It doesn't boot with the 285. I tried and thought it was because of the 550w requirement that didn't boot.
Sounds like it's not a GPU problem then, I would guess motherboard but I'm not real sure.

no beep codes. All the fans turn on, cpu, case and psu.
does it look like the GPU is getting power? Try booting with the 285 to isolate the problem to the 550, it should boot with a 500w just don't put a heavy load on it.

Does anything happen when you turn it on? Beep codes? Do the fans turn on?

Try doing what Moonzy said, it's likely that your board will need a BIOS update in order to support Ryzen 5000 series processors.
-
It will depend on the game, you'll get higher fps overall but the FX series is pretty bad by today's standards and it will bottleneck a 580. If you can upgrade to a cheap Ryzen 2000-3000 series chip down the line you would likely see a pretty sizeable performance bump.
-
It doesn't seem like this board supports the ability to update the bios without a CPU, the earliest version that supports the 5000 series is version 7C36v1B which released on November 11th. It likely didn't ship with that version. I've heard of some manufacturers shipping out "BIOS update kits" that include the necessary components to update the BIOS so that may be worth looking into. Otherwise just pick up a cheap 2000 series chip (your motherboard also seems to support certain 1000 series chips too https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/PRESTIGE-X570-CREATION#support-cpu)
-
Yes it will work. For future reference all motherboard manufacturers will have a CPU support list on the motherboard product page.
Here's the list for yours: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-M-rev-10/support#support-cpu -

Yeah i have 2 27in monitors now i think 27 is good place for me now but 32in is not that bad
I like the 32in and it's great for me but it can be too big for some people, depends on sitting distance.

I have an AMD 3700x with gigabyte aorus x570 and asus strix 1070 want to upgrade to the 3070 or 3080 and 16gb of ram as for a buget around 400 anything that is better then my current 60hz
I'm currently using the Gigabyte G32QC 32inch 1440p 165hz monitor and it's pretty good. Though 32 inches is quite big, LG's 27GL83A-B is a 27inch 1440p 144hz IPS which would also be a great choice.

It'll look pretty terrible unless you're using it as a TV.
Why use SSD's DRAM cache instead of system RAM?

Why would you want a large chunk of your RAM wasted by something your storage device can do?
