Yongtjunkit reacted to Tabs in BSOD RNDISMP6.SYS
The faulting driver is the network passthrough driver for the phone, NDIS stands for Network Driver Interface Specification.

Microsoft changed from the older/less reliable version of rndis to an updated one since 1709, but some hardware doesn't get configured correctly using the new driver. There's no way to roll back to the old driver (it doesn't physically work in 1709 or 1803), but there is a hack that should work for you.

This Microsoft forum thread has instructions to create the correct registry keys. Scroll down to the post made by Microsoft NDIS dev lead Jeffrey Tippet. The issue in that post is different, but the fix is the same for all devices that are affected by the change to rndismp6.sys.

This could be the battery since the laptop is from 2013 (5 years old). Now, I would like to point out that I have a Acer laptop that is also 5 years old and that doesn't have this issue. Asus quality or just a one case scenario?

Yongtjunkit reacted to Master Disaster in Apple knew the iPhone 6 would bend before they released the product
Motherboard recently filed a request for court documents that show Apple internal testing done before the device was even on sale showed the iPhone 6 was 3.3 times more likely to bend and the 6 Plus was 7.2 times more likely to bend when compared to the iPhone 5S. These documents were submitted to the court over the touch disease class action suit.

Despite knowing about this Apple publicly maintained that the devices had no mechanical or engineering defects, in fact on the contrary they blamed touch disease on users dropping phones while in the background quietly began reinforcing the chassis of iPhone 6 phones.
Very soon after lunch users began noticing that iPhone 6 models were prone to bending, Apple did the entire public denial thing they always do even claiming their phones pass all vigerous testing. A while after "Bendgate" went away iPhone 6 models began showing symptoms of Touch Disease, something many independent repairers were quick to point out was an inherent design flaw with the device.
The obtained documents show Apple referring to devices that bend as "expected behaviour", they also show Apple started to use underfill on iPhone 6's (to prevent touch disease) 18 months after the phone first went on sale, something they had done on older iPhones but not the 6.

And is anybody at all surprised by this?

I still find it boggling how anybody can defend Apple anymore, to quote Louis Rossmann "Apple don't give a fuck about their customers, only their customers money".

So the quantities of available items were published prior to the sale?

I could understand the first few hundred lining up, but if you knew there were only 5 iPhone 6s' available and you turned up and saw 11,000 people lining up to buy them and you were at the back of the line, wouldn't you realise that you had absolutely no chance of purchasing one and just go home instead of stand out on the street for hours?

?!? Hmmm nooo.. I don't think so.I think he indeed meant "compatible motherboard". I mean, you never heard of SLI motherboards? Many people here do it. They connect a motherboard to the other motherboard PCI-E lane, and now you have twice the RAM, twice the CPU power, and even more PCI-E plugs to connect more motherboards. Now you are playing with power! SLI motherboard power!

Yongtjunkit reacted to Cakeman in Does the battery affect the performance of my iPhone 5?
Honestly, just get a new phone at this point. You could spend that $25 for a new battery, but it might even be just outdated hardware and no further in-depth software testing on iPhone 5's that will cause even more issues down the line.

Yongtjunkit reacted to GoodBytes in "Balanced" vs "High Performance" power saver?
The power management should be set to Balanced at all times.

Settings your system to High Performance, in most cases, will REDUCE performance. Basically, High Performance disables all power saving features, meaning your CPU and motherboard chipset runs hotter. This prevents the hardware from going faster in burst. So, for example, you'll notice that Turbo Boost, which idea is to deliver additional performance in a small burst, won't last as long and/or won't go as fast or even at all (in the case of laptop). Remember that the idea of Turbo Boost, is that it overclocks (withing specifications) the CPU momentarily, which it can't normally keep all the time due to the cooling limitation envisioning to be using (example: default included, cheapo Intel heatsink which all OEMs uses in most of their systems). So, on a laptops, you'll see a lot of people complain and notice that their system runs cooler and faster under Balance than on High Performance due to the high constraints on cooling of the device form factor. Desktop, it is harder to see, especially if you have a nice air or liquid heatsink solution, and well ventilated system.

Balance, makes the OS and CPU work together (they communicate between each other) to give you the fastest possible responsiveness in making your CPU and other components clock faster. And with the newest Intel CPUs, it is even faster.. we are talking about a few mili-seconds speeds in responsiveness. So I highly doubt you'll notice any differences. This is also why Microsoft is burying that option (expect MS to eventually axe it)

he would be able to use the KRACK on the device/s that has not been updated then because that device is connected to your router with the updated or non-updated patch he can then ssh into the router at the kernel level and basically do what he/she wants. The patch is only as good as the devices connected to it.

I have resorted to using devices that have not been patched when i need to and after i have checked my router logs to ensure nothing has happened through that shit device.
