You killed fontdrvhost.exe, or it is not running.

I used a program called Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) to undervolt my laptop, but that was on a laptop I used from 2006 to 2012. I don't know if that programs till works and how it behaves on newer hardware.

Aida writes there was some throttling. I don't know how severe it was, but I do know that the Tjunction of the i5 3337U is above 100°C meaning it hasn't exceeded the safe temperatures.

Well, you might want to replace the CPU in the laptop with a supported but stronger used CPU. Or you could replace the laptop.
Or learn to live with it after you do all in your power to make it work as smooth as it can (cleaning it, replacing thermal paste and pads, using a cooling stand, undervolting it, ...).

They were, already, more refinement (delivered as Cumulative Updates) that has already been delivered to the Release Preview Ring. Microsoft picked a build as Release Candidate, and start polishing with bug fixes tested by Fast Ring and Slow Ring insiders. The build might match or not the Fast Ring... all depending on which build they selected for final polishing. But they are no difference in features at this point, even if the build numbers don't match, if you wonder.  Even if you are Skip Ahead build, as we speak, there is nothing accessible by the pubic (probably will reveal features after May Update is released), and really open the doors after Build even in May.

You need to pick: "Release Preview" under (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program > (wait for it to load, yes it takes ages for some reason) > Then under "Pick your Insider settings", pick your current ring that you are on right now (should be Fast Ring). When you click on it, it will get you to a screen where you can change your ring. Select "Release Preview"

I have over 1500 songs on my iPhone. The savings vs. buying is crazy—I could have 10 years of Apple Music for less money then buying the songs would take. Plus, I’m a university student, so Apple Music is half off.

If your antivirus detects a virus during scan, not by using realtime protection, then it's just inactive file that contains virus.

Virus is a program too - it needs to be executed to work.

It is a fine system, but this features the older CPU model.as you noted.
There is the 8th gen option available which features a quad core CPU, but  the performance and if you need quad or dual core will really depend on what you plan to do with the system, for example If you are taking notes, the dual core is more then plenty. But if you plan to run complex simulation models while gaming and rendering videos... perhaps not.

If you are student, be aware that if you get the system from Microsoft Store (online to physical location), you have 10% off the price (you also have free shipping and free return)

Disabling the password is only possible with a local account. If you created a Microsoft account then a login is mandatory.

Yongtjunkit reacted to GoodBytes in Windows Update still sucks?
    That is correct.
Feature Updates are delivered as followed:
Small group Internally at Microsoft (this includes testing team) > Larger group internally at Microsoft > Everyone at Microsoft > Insider Fast Ring > Insider Slow Ring > Insider Release Preview Ring > Those who request it manually > Released in Small Waves > Release in large waves > Everyone.

Security updates are more direct, and this may differ depending on the emergency of the situation, so bellow might not be followed all the time:
Small group internally at Microsoft (including testing team) > Everyone at Microsoft > Insider Fast Ring > Insider Slow Ring and/or Release Preview Ring > Manual requests > Everyone.
    You may have (for example):
Small group internally at Microsoft (including testing team) > Everyone at Microsoft > Manual requests > Everyone

Depends on the WiFi-card and the WiFi-stick and what sorts of antennas they got. There is no universal answer. There are laptops with shitty cards, there are laptops with shitty antennas, there are laptops with shitty both and there are laptops with neither of them being shitty, and the same goes for the USB WiFi-sticks.

It's not "REALLY" 2019. It's Office 365. Which means it's always the latest versions and the 2013, 2016, 2019 versions are just "snapshots" of that.
I'd go with Office365 since it's got a bunch of new features when trying to collect data from databases, LDAP queries etc.

I imagine there would be a performance impact but I am not sure about how much. I don't think it is really a good idea to use bitlocker on a laptop, because if the files are really that sensitive why would you store them on a device that is commonly carried around and relatively likely to be the first target of a thief.

    You won't have Direct X 12 on win 7.
PC hardware is already too fast to be slowed down by the OS.
So the difference won't be noticable unless you're still on HDD boot disk.
I see no reason why you still on win 7, unless you want to keep certain legacy apps / hardware.

No. While Windows 10 does feature the ability to restart your last programs at startup, it is up to the program to offer support to restore the document/view mode/scroll location/content of where things were.

Wow, don’t they have the insider program to do the test? So my system is running the beta version of windows 10( not in the insider program) just by clicking check for updates when you want to ensure that you got the latest stable update on your pc ? And not to mention that users(especially those who aren’t tech savvy) are going to think that they are downloading the latest stable update by just clicking check for updates
