  2. I've actually limited my battery charge to 60% since now I'm at home also according to the screenshot, I'm only 76 charge cycle in though
  3. Hi, I was wondering is the battery level on my laptop is too high? Brought this laptop in Novemeber 2019 and AIDA 64 is already reporting 21% of battery wear
  4. Currently the plastic piece are breaking away, My conecern would be plastic bits getting stuck in the port
  5. Hi, I wonder if this pendrive is still usable as the plastic is starting to break away, current it stores the windows install media
  6. Hi, I’ve noticed recently that my there’s a line on my laptop screen flickers only with certain colors, happens in windows and in the UEFI bios as well The laptop is still under warranty(few months old) model: ASUS S531FL intel core I5-8265U intel UHD graphics 620 nvidia mx250 20gb ddr4 2400mhz 512gb intel 660p NVME (OS) 1TB Samsung 860 QVO (Data) windows 10 home single language Update: after posting it appears to have disappeared, by any chance is there any suggestion for me to test to see if the screen is defective?
  7. Yup, when it releases next month it won’t be instantly available to everyone unless you manually choose to update... or you are one of the 1st people to get it in the 1st wave switched mine from the slow ring to release preview ring since it’s now available under the release preview ring
  8. Sounds likely at this point since I believe Microsoft only releases new feature update on patch Tuesday? Edit: looks like it's going to be called the may 2020 update https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2020/04/16/getting-the-may-2020-update-ready-for-release/
  9. I see, I do see that there's some website reporting that there's already an RTM build out there and it's available to download build 19041, rarely play games on my laptop Side note: I do daily drive beta builds of ios 13.4.5 and also Ubuntu 20.04 (running Pihole) so hoping that windows 10 2004 isn't bad as well(shouldn't be at this stage) and used to run early development version of windows 20H1 on my old laptop( daily drive as I don't have a new laptop at that time), hoping windows 10 2004 to be usuable like the other OS Update: just updated to version 2004, so far so good.... other than some upgrade issues( can be resolved manually), Suprisingly edge legacy is still not been replaced in this release with the new version of edge.... I think this is new in version 2004, the ability for task manager to show removable devices such as pendrive/SD card, version 1909 and older only show HDD/SSD only(pendrive and SD card doesn't show up)
  10. Is the current build in the preview ring/ RTM build stable( as if no annoying bugs, performance is normal) ?
  11. Wanted to have either one of them to fold at a time... since the cpu got it 1st so I let it fold on light settings but unfortunately, the laptop hangs a few times after I install the FOH software on it so I had to disable it.... maybe I would get better luck with gpu but it isn't getting any job
  12. Currently my gpu is on waiting Idle(light settings) and haven't got a job for it for hours while my cpu is folding I do see that there's a work queue and switching to full power doesn't seem to do anything for the GPU
  13. Hi, I was wonder if I should choose either the CPU or GPU for folding@home I'm using my old laptop for this, It's an Asus X550CC Cpu: core i5-3337U GPU: Nvidia GT 720M Currently folding with the cpu at light settings (it's a laptop in my bedroom and I don't want it to make lound sound at night) now as it got a job before the GPU... I believe the gpu would be Idle most of the time as it would always use the Igpu for videos Also how do I set-up a webUi for it so that I can manage it instead of looking at the laptop screen itself?

  15. The update is no longer installed as it’s replaced with the March 2020 update uninstalling the March 2020 updates(not security updates) makes the system boot up faster but there’s still a black screen in between the spinning circle and the lock screen
  16. I can try that, not sure if it’s still installed since I’ve already installed the March update
  17. Hi, I've noticed after installing KB4535996 from windows update, my laptop boots up slower with black screen between the windows 10 spining circle screen and the lockscreen, is this a known issue with this update or is it just me? Installing the latest update ( march 2020 ) updates from windows update didn't fix the issue laptop specs Asus S531FL Intel core I5 8265U intel 660P 512gb NVME ssd 1tb samsung 860 qvo ssd 20GB DDR4 ram Intel UHD graphics 620 Nvidia MX250
  18. Secret shopper for laptops, gaming laptop secret shopper season 2 for desktop PC, gaming PC see after more than 1 year after secret shoper if there's any improvements and recomendations to buy a prebuilt for those who doesn't know a thing or two about building a PC
  19. Usually, it shouldn't affect activation( I think very rarely as my old asus laptop - from the same era, both laptop are running 3rd gen intel cpu, have no issues with activation even after numorous times of clean install, windows would just activate as normal whether it's windows 8,8.1 and 10) but Dell tech support seems to claim it did, contacted dell about windows 8.1 not activated(preloaded with windows 8), they said that I must reinstall windows 8 with their install media( nirsoft produkey can’t find any product key in the bios) and to install windows 8.1 and 10, I need to purchase a new key to use windows 8.1 and also windows 10(windows 10 technically yes but windows 8.1?) The only changes I noticed from the secret shoppers is the button to go straight to tech support other than that, nothing has changed, still a tech support that isn't helpfull at all and windows 8 is already EOL and got replaced by windows 8.1
  20. It still works in 2020, you’ll get windows 10 activated with windows 7/8.1 product key Microsoft didn’t fully close the windows 10 free upgrade after the free upgrade has ended
  21. No idea, I can’t even find any thing on google, and also in the screenshot shows that it’s somehow on my laptop either virtually or physically
  22. Hi, does anyone here know what's Asus Sync graphic adapter, the graphic adpater pisses me off by somehow having a virtual display connected to my laptop and causing windows to think that I'm projecting and disables the action center notification, disabling it in device manager doesn't work, it reenables itself after a reboot, even uninstalling the driver doesn't work, it would reinstall itself after a reboot This laptop does not have RGB Laptop model : asus S531FL windows 10 home single language(1909) Intel UHD graphics 630 Nvidia MX250 Intel 660P NVME ssd( OS, from factory) Samsung 1TB sata SSD(data storage, add on) 20GB DDR4 2400mhz ram
