I'd recommend getting a 1/2TB Hard Drive. Certain games do not need SSD speeds. Also, you don't wanna waste SSD space on pictures, videos, word docs etc. Rn I have 1.5TB SSD space and 2TB HDD space and it's great, I sometimes record gameplay if something funny is happening and I do it in 4K 60, so I need the 2TB storage. OP may not do so but 2TB of HDD space is always nice because it allows for flexibility while not being expensive

To add onto the comment above, make sure you are discerning the difference between a network switch and a network hub if you decide to look into that. Hubs might seem like another word for the same thing, but in reality they can only support one signal at a time which could mean slowdowns if your NAS is uploading/downloading while you are trying to use the internet. Just something to keep in mind

It's funny because all of these things that get dubbed "racist" or otherwise offensive in some form are only done so by the SJW type. Nobody else could even pretend to care. Not even the minorities or other groups of people that these things could be considered "offensive" towards

TBH I also hate how modern smart phones aren't always 16:9. That aspect ratio is a standard for a reason. Even if there is a reason for 18:9 to be a thing, it feels kind of like Apple removing the headphone jack for the sake of "moving forward" when the rest of the world still revolves around its use (but of course, not near as bad). I've gotten used to it though.

Judging by the issue and the testing you've done so far, I'd say the issue is likely the GPU. There's a chance the issue could reside within the actual connector itself. If you're using an HDMI try plugging it into a different HDMI or the card's Displayport (assuming it has one). Hopefully the issue isn't related to the entire card being faulty. RMA is your only option there

compared to the Gaming 3? Price. Same performance, for less.

depending on how skilled you are with electronics you could solder on a new plug. 

I had my speaker plug break as well, requiring specific positioning to work. Try and solder on a new connector. It's not that difficult and it still works till date for me. It allows you to get a nice plug too while you're at it.

You will have to cut it and solder a new one. It's quite cheap and not difficult. Do some testing before trying on the headphones. This guide should help:
 

They're not that expensive, a couple bucks maybe. Make sure that you get one with three rings on it though, to carry both audio and mic, given that it's a headset.

He's trying to say that everyone should start with C++ and everyone should be capable of doing that without getting discouraged just because he was able to do it. At the same time, he also contradicted himself.

TL;DR for most of the above, but you sound like someone who knows nothing about programming (no offense). In this case, don't even bother with C++. You won't have a use for it and it is far too advanced to attempt.
 
Stick with something simple and extremely useful in a wide variety of situations. Python is good, but I would honestly start off with Javascript. I recommend a website called codecademy for learning Javascript.
 
EDIT: Javascript is useful from web design all the way to game design in the Unity engine. Perfect language for a beginner IMO

I was mostly just being sassy for the fun of it when I replied with the picture, but if he was doing a refresh or anything else he probably wouldn't have used the word update or stated that it was automatic. I don't really know why he included the word reset but it might be because in addition to his reset-esk issue, a Windows update typically has you go through a setup process afterwards which can invoke the feeling of starting over.
 
Sounds like the issue is simply that updating Windows causes the start menu to be reset. @Subterfudge we could use some more details please
