    GameCube hardware architecture is completely different than the architecture of a normal computer. Doubt it's possible to install Windows on it at all.

    Mining and folding should NOT be separated. I believe the primary function of this forum is to create a place where people can help others with technical issues. Regardless of whether you are mining for research or for cryptocurrency, mining is mining. People will come to the mining section for technical help, and the technical portion of both goals is nearly identical. also, better to keep the forum simple. If you start creating new sections for every little difference in every topic it just becomes a convoluted mess that looks crappy for everyone

    When I download a 1 GB update it's just replacing existing data in the software with the altered files; which means I'm not ACTUALLY losing another 1 GB of storage on my drive, right?

      Assuming it cleans up and deletes old files, you aren't losing space.

      Linux actually breaks this out nicely and will say something like "this update will download 1 GB and will require 100 MB of additional space.  Would you like to continue?"

       

      If yours doesn't, there's no real way to know.  In theory, it should just replace existing files, meaning any net increase (or decrease) in total space used is likely small, but not all installers are that smart.  For example, AMD drivers extract to a temp location (C:\AMD) and never remove themselves, so they just build up over time unless you do something about it manually.

    Im a bit late to this and all the replies are TL;DR for me, but personally I think there are two reasons why it's so popular despite being very lacking in quality. 1. This is one of those trending games that exploded with hype just for the sake of being trendy. Undertale did this too 2. It's literally the ONLY realistic Battle Royale game worth playing right now. THE ONLY ONE

    Also, RAM prices are currently major BS. Might be worth waiting a bit for the prices to drop back down to something more normal. No idea when that will be, though

    RAM speed hardly makes a difference in most tasks including gaming. Stick with ~2500 speed and you should be fine

    B L A K K undo EDIT: I didn't see that it was already on sale. Amazon and Walmart have them listed for an entire $100-$150 more so I'd say buy now
