TL;DR for most of the above, but you sound like someone who knows nothing about programming (no offense). In this case, don't even bother with C++. You won't have a use for it and it is far too advanced to attempt. Stick with something simple and extremely useful in a wide variety of situations. Python is good, but I would honestly start off with Javascript. I recommend a website called codecademy for learning Javascript. EDIT: Javascript is useful from web design all the way to game design in the Unity engine. Perfect language for a beginner IMO

Still kinda sounds like a separate issue. Before you go on to further troubleshooting, try removing the \n as it might be causing your message to not appear

Hmm. I am by NO means an expert on C++, but according to everything on this; your code is right. This leads me to believe there is a compatibility issue, or otherwise something inhibiting the success of your code that is located elsewhere. Try stepping into it to see if you can find out what's going on

I was mostly just being sassy for the fun of it when I replied with the picture, but if he was doing a refresh or anything else he probably wouldn't have used the word update or stated that it was automatic. I don't really know why he included the word reset but it might be because in addition to his reset-esk issue, a Windows update typically has you go through a setup process afterwards which can invoke the feeling of starting over. Sounds like the issue is simply that updating Windows causes the start menu to be reset. @Subterfudge we could use some more details please

What's with that Google Pixel? I'm not really knowledgeable on the Pixel but doesn't that phone compare with the S7 and other flagships, and yet it's ~$300 on that site? This almost seems too good to be true unless I'm missing something. My friend is in need of a good phone but he's on a budget so I'm thinking this might be for him. Right now he was looking at buying an S6, but that phone is a bit dated EDIT: I meant S7 not S8
