  1. Yea... im asking a friend of mine who has taken some photography courses for some resources that will hopefully send me in the right direction... that and google... haha
  2. Hello LTT Photo/Video Community, I'm looking into photography as a sort of hobby.... as I will be traveling alot in the next couple of years (a few months in south africa and possibly australia or japan before returning home. Anyways... I am looking for a good camera for the trip... and for use around home. My cousin who is upgrading told me about his current gear and that he is looking to sell it for $250. The camera and accessories are as follows: Pentax K200D (Google for all the specs) Extra battery grip Pentax DA 18-55 Kit Lens F3.5-5.6 Pentax DA 55-300 F4.5-8 Zoom Lens Tamron 17-50 F2.8 Lens (Amazing lens @2.8 for all range of zoom) Remote Control Remote shutter release (for long exposure/bulb mode) UV Filters on all lenses (cheaper to replace if you have an incident) 2 Polaroid Variable Neutral Density filters (allows low F-Stop in any bright conditions) Thanks for input guys, just wondering if for a beginner this would be a good setup....and if the price is right.
  3. Audio-Technica ATR2500-USB Cardioid Condenser USB MicrophoneOn "Sale" for 65 USD... not bad price for good sounding well built usb mic.... http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATR2500-USB-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B004QJREXM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1442155598&sr=8-3&keywords=USB+Mic
  4. Out of the two.. hyper x. I don't think that the game1 would be worth the higher price point.... the preferable set up would be a usb mic and quality headphones... but you would have a greater cost than the hyper x for only marginal improvement in audio quality or comfort.
  5. It can be problematic but if you are nice and patient typically most people can or will talk to you in English or find someone who speaks English to help you or whatever..... this is like going to mexico and expecting everyone to be fluent in English... while many people may be able to speak it it is not really the norm.... my advice, accept it and enjoy that you live in a country as diverse as Canada.
  6. Hello LTT Comp Community, I for one and hyped for H5 arena mode... I have however been out of the Halo scene for a while (causal play MCC....last actually took competitive play seriously in reach...). Anyways, I'm looking for more players to team with for Halo 5. If you want to group up and see how our playstyles mesh simply reply with a gamer tag and you will get a add with a message saying "LTT thread". I'm hoping that this game could bring halo back to the good times... anyways, if you are chill are decent and have a mic and use it give me a shout!! As a side note... I also enjoy messing around and getting achievements in campaign, so if you like beer and campaign.... also reply haha.
  7. I would honestly look for something even cheaper than the ones you have listed. Try to go as cheap as possible with these mobile earplugs as the sound quality won't be very different... out of the two... save the $20 and go for the sonys.
  8. I would wait on it.... none of those options you were stating sound worth spending on.... maybe the monitor, but even then... meh
  9. Twice the price does not equal twice the sound quality. That said I have not used the 558, but from many accounts there is really only small differences in sound.... my advice is only look at 598 if you can find them on sale (<150 USD.)
  10. ok, here is a decent set for 30 USD... closed back and good build quality. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093GXOCI/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p267_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=01YBYVZ6C14FF1732RXJ&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop
  11. Define cheap... really can't recommend anything without a dollar figure.
  12. Maybe a ATH 700 closed back....... Here they are for 119, so within budget. I would research their headband though, as it is self adjusting and may not work for all head shapes and sizes. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-A700x-Audiophile-Closed-back-Headphones/dp/B000E9VKUQ/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1442009676&sr=8-28&keywords=Audiotechnica+headphones
  13. I would say the Audiotechnica ATH-M50..... no seriously though I would say maybe a Sony monitoring headset...
  14. Due to the SSD speed incident, I would opt for corsair.... but if kingston was on sale for a good speed and capacity it would make me seriously consider it though.
  15. That is pretty well the norm for non partnered streamers atm... no need for higher settings at least for starting.
