Digital got a reaction from AmeelMD in LTT Privacy.com affiliate
I remember LTT advertising Privacy.com a while ago, but there is no affiliate link on the general affiliate list. Am I mistaken, or is there somewhere an affiliate link I can use?

Digital reacted to dizmo in Opinions on my build
Not bad!
Things I'd change:
Save some money and go with a SATA m.2 drive Get the CryOrig H7 if it's available, much better cooler Spend a little more and get the i5 8400, and pair it with an Asus motherboard If you can, the 6GB version is better, but if you're tight on budget the 3GB is only worse in some titles. You'd have to check reviews to see if it affects you in what you play.
I think most people should be able to figure out the list, if they can't then they need to work on their reading comprehension

Digital got a reaction from LHJKO in iPad Air not charging fully
I am having this weird issue that my iPad stops charging around 80% battery, indicating just a note "Not charging". Re-plugging the charger cable results in the iPad first showing "Charging" with the current battery percentage, but then immediately at top-right next to battery logo stating "Not charging".
The pad is few years old, and I think the cable I'm using is not the genuine Apple OEM charger - but it has been working just fine. The wall plug is OEM Apple.
I tried Googling for information, but there wasn't really anything useful. Does somebody know a fix to this?

Digital got a reaction from steffen_anywhere in Do Apple's wireless headphones suck?
I assume that you mean that they sound same as the normal EarPods. That's a valid point, the earpods sound isn't that of a premium.
But exactly - its 160$. That's 90$ less than shitty "The Dash" which doesn't even work. Isn't that good, I think..?
And the argument of losing is is in my opinion bull_shit. Like yes I can own a thousand dollar wedding ring on my finger and I don't assume that I'll just lose it because it's small.

Digital got a reaction from AxisFlame in Is this a good price: 4690k with Asus Z97-P for $200 CAD
I highly recommend testing the chip with the seller to see that it actually does work fine. Most of the times, to good to be true, is usually exactly what it says.

Digital got a reaction from steinikekevin in Running ethernet to a detached garage
As you make the pipe you can run as many cables there as you want.

Digital got a reaction from Scrulls in Will too much Wattage be a problem?
The only problem that might be is that an overkillr PSU might be unefficient when using with low wattage needs. (Though I'm not talking about the real overkill PSU's such as 1000+W as they are usually 80+ platinum so they remain efficient)

Digital got a reaction from iamdarkyoshi in Sticking metal to PC case
That sounds very reasonable, I was kind of thinking of that, though I need to find if there are any good spots for that.
Now I didn't think about that at all
It could be very cool though, and pretty easy to implement. I'll see which way I'll go tackling this 'issue'

I have used Clonezilla for most of the time. It's pretty solid for cloning.

Digital got a reaction from Sunshine1868 in WAN NAS
For accessing it from the internet, VPN is a good solution. Some NAS OS' might have easily configurable plugins to create this scenario so you should check out those.

Digital reacted to Neroxis in Switches.
You will probably want to look for an unmanaged switch. They're mostly plug and play. Plug in WAN from your modem and then you can load up the ports. If you want to get into more detailed stuff, QoS, LAG, vLANs you would have to get a managed switch. Those can be found in the secondary market for fairly cheap if you're lucky. New they can go for quite a bit, 250+ easy.

My mother with her MS Office and 50mb of workfiles does not neccessarily need a 250GB drive. The budget is 100€ maximum, not minimum.

Review of Addon Custom's LED's
EL Lighting
If there is anything you want to see added, or contribute let me know by either posting below or messaging me I'm always open to new ideas.
General Wiring:
Terminal Types
This is a general overview of all the terminals one may encounter inside their PC when sleeving or making new cables.
PSU Pinouts and Diagrams
PSU pinouts are mainly used for custom sleeving and this includes the diagrams of all the connectors.
Sleeving
Image Provided by: Lutro0customs
Sleeving is a very popular option for customizing a system to match a certain color scheme or look. This will cover paracord and PET(plastic) sleeving and both heatshrink and heatshrinkless style.
Powering RGB LED's
RGB LED strips will require a controller to cycle through the different colors and modes and to power that requires a special adapter.
Wiring up LED Strips
For LED strips there are multiple ways of wiring them for operation, one using by soldering and another with LED crimp connections.
5V or 7V Molex Mod
Image Provided by: Lutro0customs
This is a method of manually undervolting fans that are directly power to the PSU to run quieter without low noise adapters.
Modding:
For a bunch of great modding guides and ideas, check out MNPCTech.com:
http://mnpctech.com/case-mod-tutorials.html
Templates & Dimensions
Image Provided by: MNPCTech.com
This will include many templates and measurements of motherboards, fan cut-outs and a variety of other diagrams.
Materials
For creating new panels, mounting plates, covers, or even entire cases many different materials can be used and each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Cutting Tools
Tool selection for projects depend on the job and situation where cut quality speed and precision are all important factors.
Window Mod
Image Provided by: MNPCTech.com
This will cover the procedures of cutting a window in a case and the details when refinishing and installing in the new window material.
PSU Shrouds
To create your own PSU shroud it will require measuring your specific case for cuts and sizing since it can vary between cases, the shroud itself can be made with a variety of materials from metals to plastics.
Vinyl Wrap and Decals
Vinyl wrap is a great way to change the look of cases and parts to color coordinate a system or add a new look with custom designed decals, they come in a variety of colors and finishes with some evening being mirror finished metals, to brushed aluminums.
Painting:
General Painting
This will go over the main topics and techniques mainly for spray painting plastic and metals including clear coat finishing, and touch on brush painting.
Plasti-Dip
The spray we all love to use, as of recently it’s probably the most common modding product used for re-coloring. In general this will go over the properties of plasti-dip and some of the good and bad.
Motherboard and RAM Painting
Re-coloring heatsinks or heat spreaders to color co-ordinate builds are common practice and can be done fairly easily with spray paints or coatings with little impact to heat dissipation.
PSU Painting
Image Provided by: Linus
Painting a PSU is possible but does require some understanding in wiring and comes with a certain risk when opening a PSU.
GPU Painting
Image Provided by: Rumikarimu
This is a fairly general guide on GPU painting and will focus on painting accents or shrouds where it will not have an impact on cooling performance.

Digital got a reaction from The Official Czex in Alternative for compact Lian Li case
So I am considering of getting Lian Li PC-05S, but the price keeps me very skeptical. I know from the feedback that with Lian Li's cases you are paying for the premium build quality and components, but I would probably do with a little lower quality case with lower cost. But as I have been sweeping around the markets for great looking case, I have not found anything at the same level of beauty. I even had in mind to mod an existing good looking case but it doesn't seem so appropriate. So if you have any suggestions of good looking cases please suggest them!
The case should be slim and tall rather than box shaped, and have a glass window. Best alternative by far has been the Bitfenix pandora, but it still isn't a solid go.
