Yes, I would try to get some actual potatoes rather than using a stand-in, these just don't have the same feel at all

True, the GPU definitely decreased a lot in value, but it would be an easy replacement if needed. I might put it up on ebay or some sort to see whether there is any interest at all in this. After all this build means something to me and I don't want to give it away cheaper as needed. Thank you for your answers

that's a nice looking build, I recently sold my 4790k, 32gb ram and Asus Z97 Ranger board for around £450. You should be good for around £1000 imo, the problem is that 980 has dropped a tonne cause of pascal and a 1060 6gb offering similar performance and of course water cooling is still niche, but I think anyone that knows what theyre looking for knows the value of a custom loop

Probably try it with what you paid for for the components excluding water cooling components. Hard to estimate, depends on whether the buyer appreciates your work you put into it or not.
Other way to start is trying to figure out the grand total of what you paid for it and then shave 25 to 50% off or look for similar specced systems used and slap a sum on top of the average for your custom work

Like a modified car...Whatever someone's willing to pay for it.

If you can find an enthusiast that wants a very good but superceded system you could easily get 2000 AUD for it especially with all the watercooling. For anyone else it just wouldn't be worth more than 1000.

Ok, so I went on a very quick excursion yesterday and took some shots, however I only had 20 minutes before the last train so I didn't manage to get anything I like. Best I could do with what I got in LR is this:

Does anyone have any suggestion to improve it etc? Its a weird crop I know, but I was in a real hurry, had no time for swapping lenses etc.

It also looks crooked to me, even though I checked with 2 spirit levels and the in-camera level and it seemed fine.

EDIT: It was shot at ISO 160, F/10 30" @24mm (the entire image is wider).

Those sound like a good idea in the beginning until you actually shoot one. Its a 3.5-6.3 or something right? I owned the sigma version for like a month a couple of years ago.

Quick long exposure attempt yesterday, what do you guys think?

And to rate it, 7/10 technically its pretty good. But it isn't super appealing to me, different color temperatures (Its a pain I know) and other small things.

Figured I'd show a longexposure of mine now:

Cute cate Like how the sun reflects in his/her fur. Seeing more of his bottom half would have been nice, but cats are incredibly hard to photograph, admittedly.

I love using the ND-Filter on my camera. Though, that leaves me with one question: I noticed that I often get lens flare on my pictures. That being said, I screw the ND filter on top of my already existing UV filter. Could that sandwitchign be the cause of the excessively appearing flare?

I always remove the UV filter before using an ND filter.  A lens hood should also reduce the flare.

Well there's no point in buying cheap UV filters.  But if you buy high quality ones, they hardly affect the light passing through to affect the image.

A bit underexposed and the foreground tree branch or log near the bottom.

I really like that Model A in the picture but the background seems a bit off. I'll give it 7/10.

I'm guessing this is a phone picture. It's obviously not the greatest quality - it seems like you were a bit shaky when taking the picute. You could get a bit lower and point at the stream (removing the path on the left). Try resting your phone on your knee or holding it with both hands with your elbows tucked to your upper body

could use a little bit longer exposure to light up the background. i assume you going for a moody scheme with the photo, but a bit more light and contrast in the background could add some  more drama to the photo. 7/10

I like that. Here's an idea: Set up your camera for when you are doing a ordinary flight. Maybe something interesting comes out with the LEDs shining. Though...darkness and drones are not a good combination. A more interesting background would be nice I guess, but who am I to say that.

I tested the ND filter again on a day with bright sunshine and light fog:

I find the vignetting from the lens to be beyond artistic and more just problematic... it's so intensely black in the corners, and being a landscape, there's no one central thing to draw attention to so it's not an effect that works for me personally.  The horizon also seems to be quite noticeably off-level. I do quite like the mood of the scene though
