I'd recommend not to based on the fact that its just a rebranded 680 which is getting to be quite old now and that 2gb of VRAM is really enough any more.

I suppose one can dream...

Basically, you know how NVIDIA had a closed press conference of sorts regarding the 980 a couple months back? They managed to get the 980 into laptops, specifically the GPU itself.
I'm fairly sure even he knows that to go out, buy a 970 and try to plop it in a laptop and expect it to work would be......hilarious but ultimately dysfunctional.

Id recommend the 390. I'm not a fanboy or anything but I had the same question and ended up getting the 390 and have been very happy with how it has performed.

Thanks man. I plan to go to china in the next couple of months and get some stuff over there so as long as it can last that long i wont be too phased.
