I'm currently on a gtx 970, and getting a 980ti has proven difficult since I can barely sell the 970 for a decent amount. Those with SLI experience: Do the problems outweigh the benefits for you? Is it worth the hassle? I'm currently on a 1080p, 144hz monitor, and I play a bunch of games and stream as well.

Haha. Well, she understands where the 980 is in the card market these days, so if anything, she'd probably recommend it if it meant I was getting better performance. =P I really appreciate all of the responses! This greatly boosts my confidence in this card. Thanks so much!

Hello everyone! I was recently given a very generous gift from my significant other; an EVGA GTX 980 FTW Edition. While an obviously powerful card, I can't help but feel at a major crossroad. I want to game at either 1080p/144Hz, or 1440p/60Hz (Haven't decided), and I have a pretty solid budget to do so, but I'm really uncertain if this 980 will do well with either of those. I don't necessarily need to have everything on maximum settings, but I do want to get as much out of my entire system as possible, and I would like to not cut corners when it comes to performance. Is Anti-Aliasing the big offender when it comes to pushing a Graphics Card's performance? If not, what is? Should I SLI as soon as possible? Is it feasible to trade this card in for SLI 970's?
