Hello everyone!
I was recently given a very generous gift from my significant other; an EVGA GTX 980 FTW Edition. While an obviously powerful card, I can't help but feel at a major crossroad.
I want to game at either 1080p/144Hz, or 1440p/60Hz (Haven't decided), and I have a pretty solid budget to do so, but I'm really uncertain if this 980 will do well with either of those. I don't necessarily need to have everything on maximum settings, but I do want to get as much out of my entire system as possible, and I would like to not cut corners when it comes to performance. Is Anti-Aliasing the big offender when it comes to pushing a Graphics Card's performance? If not, what is? Should I SLI as soon as possible? Is it feasible to trade this card in for SLI 970's?
