  1. Strangest thing when i boot it back up today it's as if nothing happened... RMA is still possible indeed, but now it works again as it should... Let's hope it never comes back. Still would be nice to know what it coulda been if someone has experience with this.
  2. Hi, fluid change was about 3 months ago. It's just regular distilled water with anti algae. Previous cleanup i cleaned all blocks. There are some bubbles left yes, but i bled it plenty last time. Shouldn't be the issue. It's not my first custom loop build, but the first time this strange behaviour happens.
  3. Hi, it’s a custom loop, not AIO. It’s a EKWB D5 pump & res combo. The noise became high pitch all the time instead of this blowing-ish sound. My RGB lamps also suddenly popped back on. Very strange.
  4. Hi, i think it’s coming from the pump. It sounds like a spinning up and then a coil-ish sound. Pc is about 1,5years old and works perfectly fine otherwise. Temps are normal. anyone an idea? thx IMG_7577.MOV
  5. Hey guys, I'm totally new to homebridge. Sounds like a great idea to get stuff working on homekit, if you can get it to run. I have zero experience programming and can't get the plex plugin to run. You have to manually add some code to the config editor and it won't let me save. The message is error Config Syntax Error, config contains invalid json Here's my code, can anyone help me figure it out? Thanks! { "bridge": { "name": "Homebridge", "username": "blurred", "port": blurred, "pin": "blurred" }, "accessories": [ { "accessory": "Plex", "name": "Plex", "plex_token": "...", "filter": [ { "user": "your-plex-username", "player": "your-favorite-player" } ] } ] } "platforms": [ { "name": "Config", "port": 8581, "auth": "form", "theme": "dark-mode", "tempUnits": "c", "lang": "auto", "platform": "config" }, { "name": "Weather", "apikey": "blurred", "locations": [ "Gent" ], "platform": "WS" }, { "devices": [ { "name": "LG TV", "host": "192.168.8.XXX", "mac": "44:cb:8b:84:d6:08", "volumeControl": 1, "switchInfoMenu": false, "inputs": [ { "name": "Netflix", "reference": "netflix", "type": "APPLICATION", "mode": 0 } ] } ], "platform": "LgWebOsTv" } ] }
  6. Hi, thanks for your reply. Well i suppose i'll try first with a 120gb ssd that's lying around here somewhere. Too bad for all the unnecessary tinkering I suppose. Thanks tho!
  7. Hi guys, Idk if this is the correct section, but here goes: been using my Mac Mini 2011 as a Plex server and it works flawlessly! The only real issue becomes storage. Currently i fitted it with a samsung 2TB ssd 2,5inch but my library is growing too large. I know you can fit a second drive and i have the adaptor, but i remember hearing somewhere the max capacity the mini can read was 2TB. Can anyone verify/have experience with this? I'd rather not blow my money on a second 2TB ssd if it turns out it won't read it anymore. Also the hassle of installation, you pretty much gotta dismantle everything, even the build in PSU. Also, i just purchased last years oled from LG and looking into downloading 4K HDR content, maybe i should upgrade to a self build machine for plex, any suggestions? Thanks.
  8. Thank you, this makes it perfectly clear for me. Thanks a lot!
  9. Okay so i assume you mean 'take over your whole connection' of this one computer? Other active pc's are not detectable? I'm thinking of having the RDP active then on a throwaway pc..
  10. Well it's not fully working yet though. So maybe the reason it doesnt work is because i dont have a work vpn yet.. interesting. Then it basically answers my original question.
  11. We don't have a VPN from the company. that makes sense if you use their vpn they can pretty much see anything. I got my own thankfully
  12. Hi, yes it's through internet on a different network. So i should use VPN, got it!
  13. Hello, During these Corona times we're being forced to work from home. Teamviewer licenses are being suspended apparently and thus we're force to RDP from our home computer to our office computer. I'm always wary of these things as i don't want my work to be able to snoop around through our personal files on our home computer. I just want to be sure that if i RDP to my office pc they can't trace back files/keystrokes from my home pc. Anyone have experience with this? Would VPN also help? Thanks & stay safe!
  14. Hi, it’s the third silent loop 240 in this computer that’s 6 months old. the first one was obv used and sold as brand new. Second made big noise and i figured it was a pump. Both were replaced by amazon. Today i have this behaviour again. Is this really the aio again or am i missing something? Am i really that unlucky? IMG_6571.MOV
  15. Hi, please check the vid attached. This watercooling is a few months old and has been acting up occasionally. Today it keeps on buzzing really loudly. When i used to flip it over i heard water sloshing and it would stop for a couple of weeks, but today it keeps on going. I guess i'll have to have it replaced..? It's a Be Quiet! 240 silent loop sitting in a Z390 board with a 9900k underneath. I'd rather not have that fail or overheat due to this weird pump. Thanks. IMG_6084.MOV
  16. Okay I feel sort of silly, i forgot to plug in the Pump indeed. My silly mistake. Though the old pump from amazon really must have been defective cuz i'm sure that pump was plugged in. Been building pc’s for years. What a rookie mistake haha. Now it’s sitting comfy at 25c idle. Thank you guys, topic closed.
  17. Yes. Like i said, the deepcool one i've been using for years, i'm 100% sure that works.
  18. Deepcool waterblock has been used for nearly 2 years, seems very unlikely
  19. Thank you, but the paste applied is Artic cooling mx-4 which i also use at home
  20. Hi, i'm assembling a work pc and I'm having issues with my 9900k thermal throttling right from boot. In bios is slowly climbs from 30°c all the way to 90°c. I thought it might be the second hand watercooler Be Quiet 240 silent loop Amazon tried to scam me with that's defective. Today i put on my private Deepcool captain 240 ex and it's exactly the same thing. I'm 100% sure this cooler is working. I'm stumped, any idea's anyone? Spec list: i9 9900k 8gig ram (will be 16 once i get the damn thing working correctly) Gigabyte Z390 aorus pro, flashed on the latest bios Be Quiet psu 650 watt gold. Be Quiet 240 silent loop Deepcool captain 240 ex Screenshot shows 64°c while the pc was on for less than 30 seconds. Sidenote: the pc case is completely open, no body panels attached.
  21. The crazy thing is, for my work pc i just ordered a silent loop 240 from be quiet! Bought as new product, but when installing the cooler, it's obviously second handed and used. Backplate missing, no cpu paste, no cpu peel. Fans are filled with dust. What the fuck amazon?
  22. I guess we’ll never know. I dont expect them to make a big deal about this return and i already ordered another from a different webshop so..
  23. Thank god amazon has a good customer service cuz this is extremely weird. I knew not to force it, thanks though!
