    Anything RGB
    Lighting
    Custom Cables/Extensions
If you have a lot of money and time, custom watercooling, or if you want an easier route, get an AIO

You really don't need that much wattage, even a 550 may be enough.

It's only for a limited time, but GTA V's online changes for Christmas with snow and lights. May want to check that out, just a suggestion. It's a masterful open world game.

I'm pretty sure this was already posted...and their new card isn't supposed to be anything ground breaking, unfortunately.

First off, no matter which way you go, you do not need to spend $3500 for light gaming and school work. If you need something that you can carry around to your classes, laptop is the obvious choice. Do you need to bring it places? If you wanted to you could build a $2500 PC, which is great, and have $1000 leftover for a nice laptop. I think this would be the best way to go as you're not getting much more performance past the $2500 range in either desktop or laptop.

850 pro's and the intel's have great reliability, I really like my 850 pro, it has served me well and performs great. V-NAND is what samsung does to stack the nand chips in a vertical orientation instead of on top of one another, helping them to fit more on one chip for higher capacities.

dobo2001 reacted to bgibbz in Will my PC be able to run games at 1440p?
Ehh, not really. A 1070 and a better processor could easily run 1440p, but with such an old CPU and gpus, it's probably not gonna perform that well at 1440p.

7/10 I like this, but the noise is a little high. I also would have tried to cut out more of the street because there really isn't anything going on in the front, more stuff happening in the back and up top.

dobo2001 got a reaction from AresKrieger in What is the best Workstation graphics card?
Truly depends on what you're working on. Some are better than others for different things, some you don't need to spend the insane amount of money on, some you may need to spend that extra money.

I'd try to go 1440p to use the full potential of your GPU. Might have to look for a used one though.

dobo2001 got a reaction from rphawks in Can this be cheaper?
Cheaper motherboard is an option, also you could go for something like a Hyper 212 which would cut down by like $10. There's definitely cheaper RAM out there. One thing to keep in mind, you're good right now, but never cheap out on your power supply.

The picture itself is good, but I'm just not a huge fan of the processing on it. It makes it look too artificial and takes away from the "emotion" in the photo.

dobo2001 got a reaction from Gibs960 in Custom Cables vs Extensions?
Extensions are always compatable. Doesn't matter if you have a $200 PSU or a $30 one, a 24 pin is a 24 pin, an 8 pin is an 8 pin and so on. Extensions are usually cheaper, however they create more cable clutter in the back of the case as there is now more cable length to have to deal with.

dobo2001 got a reaction from Squish4058 in How much will motherboard limit performance
Motherboards do not affect performance in any way. Only if you currently have an overcloked CPU and are switching to a motherboard that doesn't have it, it will not have any difference.
