Really? Just walked over to PR and asked around. No ErrDeeEff around here. :^)

I'm the one that built this for COMPUTEX! It was a blast but quite a challenge. Trying to fit all of that hardware into it was fun! I threw a 60mm thick radiator into this thing thinking it would just barely cut it, but it had more space... so I did push/pull config on that radiator and I still had room. You could probably do 80mm thick radiator in push/pull and be just right. I just love how the I/O and the front logo did the rainbow wave, it's one of the coolest features I've seen in a case!

Please understand that this case was just a concept. I am unable to answer any questions about it in regards to its availability and release date, as I do not have the answer. Thank you for understanding!

I had U2515H and 1440p on 25" is not too small, it was okay, but text is small so better increase its size even if it is readable for you. For me it was perfectly readable and after two months I ended up with eye strain and now I have to use glasses for computer work, no matter screen size or resolution. Don't read tiny text even if it is readable, this is unnecessary effort to eyes.

IIRC, the i at the end of their PSUs and AIO coolers means that it features their Corsair Link Software for system management.

With adequate fans and proper cable management, both should have good air flow to cool your system. Most cases are pretty reasonable at cooling these days, especially with removable drive cages becoming more common. Haven't used the Mastercase 5 yet but I've built in the 450D and it was a great experience and has more the adequate air flow.

Air = reliability, consistency, price, and longevity

Water Cooling = extreme OC'ing, enthusiast, expensive

whatever you choose, Air cooling is usually a simpler and a good enough choice for most people. Noctua, be quiet! and Cooler Master make the best coolers imho. AIO's do also have a rare tendency to either leak, evaporate, or break, whilst a air cooler has no problems besides the fan dying which doesn't ever happen cause you'll upgrade before its life ends. Air cooling is safer, but if you're an 'extreme overclocker' then get an AIO.

Personally, I prefer air cooling. I've water cooled, both custom loop and AIO, and I still come back to air. I can get better overclocks with water but it didn't result in a large performance difference in games for me and I would rather my PC be quieter. Nothing wrong with water cooling though. Just know that it's not exactly quiet.

Unless they specifically state a warranty, then you wouldn't have one. You would have some protection through eBay just for the initial transaction but nothing for later down the road. That being said, I've only ever had one CPU fail on me and that was TOTALLY my fault.

    Don't build while angry kids.

tk421 got a reaction from Limecat86 in Need some help with water cooling.
If you're not overclocking, I would really stick to air cooling. Most AIO cooler are fairly noisy and a good air cooler will do everything that you've said you want. And as far as looks go, some air coolers have awesome bling-factor, like the bequiet! Dark Rock 3, all of Phanteks coolers, Noctua, etc.

A single 120mm rad AIO cooler is just not worth it. If you really want more performance get a 240mm rad AIO at least like a kraken x61 or a Corsair H100. But with your budget I would stick with aircooling...

That will be difficult without having the case in front of you but you could do what I did for a build and use a 3D model to help figure out routes. LINK

Also, it's not free but Monsoon's bending and cutting kits are great for getting perfect runs. I don't
You stole my thunder! LOL, jk. But seriously their bending and cutting kits are fantastic. Basically gives you perfectly accurate runs in followed properly.

tk421 got a reaction from Tweed in Best AIO Water Cooling?
In my experience, no. We used to be able to get tons more performance WAY back in the day, but much less now. Overclocks can certainly help if you are running at very high resolutions, or if you're using the PC as a workstation for rendering and such. Then you'll certainly see an improvement. But for your average gamer, not much if any difference in most games. These days, I think it's more of an enthusiast hobby than anything. Still cool though. And I still enjoy it whenever I get a new CPU. (Gotta see what she can do! lol)

Sometimes those cracks happen. Just be grateful that you found it BEFORE you filled the loop. About 6 months ago, I wasn't so lucky...
Anyways, awesome build! One thing I found helpful for bending the hardline tubing was the bending kit from Monsoon. I don't recommend their hardline fittings unless you want your desk to be flooded but the mandrel kit they have is fantastic. You can be ultra precise in your bends and get perfect right angles every time. You're probably too close to being finished for it to matter but just something to consider for future projects.
Absolutely love the build though. Lots of people your age have plenty of creativity but no motivation to actually produce their dreams. Mad props dude.

Hey everyone my name is Thom,

I've been a member of the forum for some time now and a subscriber of LinusTechTips for a few years. Being 17 years old I'm still in school, in fact in my last year (Yr 12). Along with that I get to do a “Major Work” for my industrial tech Timber class. This “Major Work” can be anything we want, we must design it, then make it. Along with this we need to make an 80 page folio showing everything from steps of construction to drawings and tools used. We have about 8 months to create our project which is then marked by a group of judges who travel the state and mark the projects from each school. In 2014 I came Dux (First Place) in this subject with a mark of 96% I put a lot of effort into my projects and spend a lot of time designing and planning them.  Being my last year I decided to go big or go home, something that is different than a coffee table, a chair, etc. I decided to make this “Project: Ravage” a modded computer table.

You may be wondering why “Project: Ravage”? Well Ravage is to “cause severe and extensive damage to”, e.g my wallet and then benchmarks. I’m 100% sure none of the judges have seen this before so I'm hoping to blow their minds away. The project has changed so many times since last November when I started to plan it, come to think of it, the first design had 780ti’s in it, which has now been replaced by 980ti’s. Table will be fully water cooled with custom tubing.

The top of this table will be made out of Tasmanian Oak with a oil matte finish. To add to this there will be a sheet of glass over the wood top which will be laminated and toughened so it won't shatter or crack. I have always used tables with glass on the top and I like how they don't wear out or get damaged (as easily) like the timber would. This timber is light and will contrast well with the dark stained legs.

The Legs are made out of 70x70 pine with a few pieces of Tasmanian oak accents. These legs will be stained a dark brown/black and then lacquered to a matte finish.

For the box underneath I will be using Meranti. It’s like pine but without the knots. Its got a nice clean grain and looks like a premium timber but without the price tag. This box will be lacquered and kept with the timer look to match the table top and offset from the dark legs.

I never did Multimedia in school because the classes were at same time as timber so I never got taught AutoCAD or any other fancy programs. I taught myself how to use sketchup and with that knowledge I designed this table from scratch over a time span of 2-3 months. Throughout this time the table changed quiet a bit to account for different parts, cooling, aesthetics and the normal R&D stuff but it finally came down to this.

I would go with a watercooler top be honest.  The problem with most ITX motherboards is that the CPU socket  isn't far enough away from the pci-e slot to allow room for the graphics card.  I couldn't even get a Hyper 212 evo to fit on mine.  I used an H80i and it barely fit.  A single 120 rad AIO will probably be your best bet.

Those aren't going to fit with the motherboard.
