  1. just an update to say that after a week or so, it just worked suddenly, but all i can see is #welcome and #rules. and now, after waiting another week, and re-reacting to the rules, i can finally see everything
  2. yea, i did all that. it won't stay in the sidebar of discord, and it keeps offering to let me join.
  3. likely a discord issue, but it won't let me join the discord.
  4. if I can get a job and enough money, I'd like to do this with a build list that i have named "Death Machine" http://pcpartpicker.com/user/rhinorulz/saved/G47ypg when I manage to do this, as that build list uses mostly top of the line enthusiast grade parts and a dual socket CPU, the only thing I should need to replace for quite a while would be ram, and even then, it is only because I wouldn't have enough sockets for max ram. But at this point, that build will be a year or so off.
  5. I'm totally OK with only 30 fps, as long as it is consistent at around that. Thanks for the suggestions. if there are anymore, please do share.
  6. You say about a $2000 machine would be more toward what I need, What would that build look like? (at those costs, would have to be a christmas present unless I manage to get a job again). BTW, CCNA trained (currently no certificates yet) Network associate looking for job in TN/GA/AL tri-state region (2nd/3rd shift prefered), Will be finishing up a AAS in NSA in the winter quarter
  7. At this point in time, I am job searching, and unemployed. I have No income. I manage to scrape up 3 $5 amazon gift cards every 11 days through reward programs though, so I can buy some parts. In about a year, I'll have around $500 (and hopefully a job by then) So what I am looking for: Decent rendering speed on videos (I do some youtube stuff) ability to handle physics rich games (Space engineers, BeamNG, etc) Ability to handle resource hogs (I'm looking at you Minecraft and Chrome) Decent performance when streaming (Hitbox, and not as much anymore Twitch) to go along with ^, decent graphics. Also to go along with ^^, Decently Quiet so i don't have to install sound batting under the desk Decent handling of 3D modeling software (I don't want to have to wait 3 hours for a model to render) Needs to be able to handle 3 Monitors (15' non-widescreen VGA ATM, hope to be able to upgrade to widescreen someday) Need at least 1 USB3.0 port At least 2 USB2.0 Root hubs (4 ports total) Gigabit Ethernet (will be switching to a 1gig connection soon and running cat6 to my room) Any recommendations you all have would be appreciated. Where I can, I'd like to be able to transition towards enthusiast tier equipment in the future.
