  1. well I tried the 80% limit and it turned off instantly still. Kinda don't know what to do now.
  2. @GuiltySpark_ I saw you mention the powersupply I am running? Should I RMA it? I am also running 3 monitors and no overclocks
  3. Yes but what doesn't make sense to me is I used this system without fault for a year and have made no hardware changes. Has something in the PSU degraded?
  4. Hello, I have been dealing with an issue recently on my PC where when I run intensive games my entire system just shuts off instantly and reboots. At first it was pretty inconsistent but now it's crashing right when getting in game. The worst offender is Star Citizen and I am able to play low intensive games without any issue. I can play League of Legends or Minecraft without any issues. I have most software things ruled out such as latest BOIS (even trying latest beta BIOS), drivers, and updates. It's a relatively fresh install of Windows 11 pro and I haven't installed anything new recently. I have also tried out of my 4 sticks of RAM, 2 sticks, 1 stick, and the issue still persists. I thought it was my RAM so I bought a new kit and the issue still persisted. So my next thought is the power supply but I am unsure. I have been running this setup fine for a year without any issues so I think 750w is enough. This started about a week ago and the issue is progressing. I was able to play Star Citizen for a few hours now it crashes right when It's done loading and I get in game PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor ($419.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: EK EK-AIO 280 D-RGB 116 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($141.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock X570S PG Riptide ATX AM4 Motherboard ($184.99 @ Newegg) Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Dark Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL14 Memory ($116.99 @ Amazon) Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Dark Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL14 Memory ($116.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Blue SN570 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($79.98 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($240.64 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 870 Evo 2 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($179.99 @ Abt) Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR 10 GB TUF GAMING OC V2 Video Card ($849.99 @ Amazon) Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini ATX Mid Tower Case ($111.99 @ B&H) Power Supply: Corsair SF750 750 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply ($149.99 @ Newegg) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Retail - USB 64-bit ($199.99 @ Amazon) Monitor: LG 27GN950-B 27.0" 3840x2160 144 Hz Monitor ($659.15 @ Amazon) Total: $3452.67 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2022-09-12 14:27 EDT-0400
  5. Its an optiplex 3020 im using as a home server with an ssd. i was able to get it into the BIOS but now when I boot with the windows usb its all glitched out and shows a glitched out windows symbol and doesnt boot. I am able to boot to the usb on my main pc perfectly fine. Am i able to install windows by putting the ssd in my main pc and putting it back in the dell once finished?
  6. Hello, I am trying to re-install Windows on a Dell OEM PC and it’s giving me trouble. I have Windows 10 on the usb stick and whenever I try to boot into the BIOS either by spamming f2 or f12 it boots to a black screen. When I let it boot normally it boots into Windows 10 fine. When booting the PC itself there is no Dell logo and it just boots straight to Windows. I have tried both the VGA and Display port on the back with no luck. I have also tried booting directly in UFEI from Windows advanced startup and it hasnt worked. What else can I try?
  7. Hello, there is two slots for RAM so I would need a kit of 2x8 RAM. The CPU is an i5 4590 running Windows 10. This appears to be the motherboard: http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/dih81r/ It says what memory it supports but I don't really know what that completely means so if I could still be recommended a good kit to replace these with for a good price that would be nice.
  8. So I am using a Dell prebuilt as a storage/minecraft/plex server and I want to upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 16GB. In task manager 7.5GB is being used at medium load and I want to upgrade it. Just wondering if this system uses regular DDR3 RAM and its not finicky on compatibility. Also, ECC memory would not work correct? For example: https://www.amazon.com/HP-1x16GB-PC3-14900R-Internal-708641-B21/dp/B00F5NURLY/ref=asc_df_B00F5NURLY/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=563598683736&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10048749600682294332&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9017103&hvtargid=pla-420747802054&psc=1 would this work?
  9. So I have a Dell office desktop that I repurposed as a light server. It has an i5 4590, 8gb RAM, and a 500GB SSD running on Windows 10. I know Windows isn't the best server operating system but it's the only one I know how to use. The server seems to run pretty bloated while idling and only leaves about 3GB of RAM for the server. Windows also shuts down and restarts as it pleases for updates. Is there any way to optimize this or do I have to switch operating systems.
  10. 250gb is nothing. 500 minimum, 1tb is ideal
  11. Tried both and no luck. I'm just going to hide it on other displays for now. Thanks for help
  12. I don't see anything in Task Manager named that When I make it my main monitor it fixes the taskbar but when I switch it back It goes back to being fat
  13. So I have three monitors and 2 have the normal Windows 11 taskbar and my 3rd monitor randomly got a fat taskbar one day. I have been unable to make it skinny again like the other two monitors. I've done all the basic things like looking in the taskbar settings, updating, restarting, and unplugging and plugging it back in. Any suggestions? Windows 11 seems to have really cut down the taskbar options for whatever reason. They no longer let you unlock it and resize it with your mouse. They let you resize it in the Registry Editor but when changing the size between 0-2 it doesn't fix it.
  14. How do you tell if an SSD is working? I bought this SSD off of eBay for parts/not working expecting to run the warranty process. But when I plugged in the SSD it was fully working? All I had to do is initialize it and then partition it in Windows. I transferred files to it and had no issues and I also see the full amount of storage in File Explorer. How do I test an SSD to make sure it's fully working?

  16. So my computer has been crashing shortly after launching any game and it crashes by the screen just going black, then it restarts automatically saying nothing. The computer rarely crashes during regular usage but sometimes does. Ontop of that as an example it crashes while launching the camera app. Temperatures are also normal. In the Event Viewer in Windows 11 the Critical message it gives is Source: Kernel Power and Event ID: 41. I have 4 X 8 GB of RAM and I have already tried interchanging the sticks in pairs and it continues to crash no matter RAM configuration. I have the latest video drivers and the latest motherboard BIOS. The specs: i7-12700k 4X8 RAM 3200MHz MOBO: MSI PRO Z690-A PSU: 600W <-- Do I have enough wattage? GPU: GTX 980ti (currently RMAing a RTX 3070 and I am currently using my old 980ti it's not clear if my old graphics card is causing the crashing) Thanks need an expert's opinion
  17. Also make sure you are in fact on the latest BIOS I don't remember being able to update BIOS through armory crate
  18. Wipe Windows then. No modern PC needs a 3rd party ethernet card. And saying PCIe like that has no meaning. PCIe is just the name of the slot it goes into
  19. Gotta wait for a new BIOS update for your motherboard if I had to guess
  20. Internet doesn't work like that and the internet going out on a computer doesn't crash it. The PC would just not be connected to the internet anymore. Something else is causing your PC to crash like that and buying a new wired networking card won't fix your issue. You are looking at either likely a software problem or even a hardware problem with your PC and I would start by possibly replacing your motherboard if the ethernet port on the back of it doesn't work like you say it does. And even if your router/modem were working/setup incorrectly a network error will not crash a PC
  21. You don't need an ethernet card motherboards have one built in and you don't need gigabit internet for a Minecraft server. Make sure you are port forwarding correctly for your specific router and watch a YouTube video on how to run a Minecraft server. Make sure you are giving them the correct IPv4 address for your network and that the server itself is booting/successfully loading all the way in the CMD window.
  22. Is there a way to do something like pausing/scrubbing something like a YouTube video without having to alt tab from a game? Be it software or hardware is there anything similar to this?
  23. They can be used as a pretty decent baseline tho
