How did you solve the issue? Right now all my drivers are up to date -
Network drivers, Memory, or GPU issue causing BSOD
PiccoG replied to PiccoG's topic in Troubleshooting
After uninstalling the ethernet adapter assuming that was the problem since that is how i am receiving my internet i am now getting errors from Netwtw06 - Event ID 5002 saying that the ac wireless has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly. if it is a network problem how do i fix this? I feel that i should also mention that when my crashes happened chrome pages would shut down and lose signal before the crash would happen. -
Over the past few weeks after building me new rig i have been getting more and more crashes and BSOD more and more frequently it seems. I have been getting these errors and warnings as well as BSOD stop codes like "driver irql not less or equal" , "critical structure corruption" , "system thread exception no handled" , "bad pool header" , and "page fault in nonpaged area" are happening. Ive read that this may be caused by a bad network driver but i have the newest version of my network drivers. I could really use the help. Im at a loss for what to do next!

Upgrading!!! 1800x or a TR 1950x (read description)

Well that's lucky! I'll try and flip that soon then! A more power efficient gpu would be ideal!- 14 replies

Definitely! I am hoping to turn the 980ti to help upgrade to a modern more efficient Nvidia card.- 14 replies

Upgrading!!! 1800x or a TR 1950x (read description)

Thank you i really appreciate it! I from the sound of things those processes use up nearly the same amount of CPU threads and are about the same intensity of work. I may very well go with the 1700 in that case. To be honest any of these options will be better than a sandy bridge-e with a motherboard that has a hard time communicating with my 980ti.- 14 replies

Generally more cores and threads the better for 3d modeling and rendering performance. That's my dilemma. I know that more cores will help my process but i am also constrained by my vans battery. Right now that amounts to 1200AH so basically 5 hours a day of PC work time at 700 Watts power draw average from my PC over an hour of rendering. So power consumption is important on top of how much space it takes up in my small home.- 14 replies

Agreed but will this CPU freeze up under at least two of these CPU intensive work loads at the same time? I sometimes render a zbrush scene and my OBS freezes/ is terminated because my sandy bridge-E was using 100% CPU. Will a 1700 be able to handle this?- 14 replies

So I am looking to upgrade because my 3930k and GA-x79-UP4 finally called it quits. I work mainly with 3d animation, modeling, and rendering while streaming to Twitch. I've realized that AMDs new CPUs are perfect for this type of work load but am having a dilemma. I move around a lot so vanlife is very much a thing so power consumption and form factor are big a deciding factors. I am currently torn between the 1950X and the 1800X for various reasons. The 1800X though only having B3** matx mobos can still handle quite a work load for a significant amount less money, power draw, and take up less space. The 1950x is massive and only has ATX mobos and uses far more power but could easily handle the work load. My question is will i be able to do all these tasks on a 1800x on a non x2** board and should i seriously consider the TR despite my power and space constraints?

I know that using it has a restore and repair function but is that the same as the media creation tool?
-
is that the same as the retail Windows 10 USB?
-
So start with safe mode then uninstall old drivers and it should be fine?
-
Yes but if i reinstall then I will lose all the programs, settings, and custom file paths and directories which i dont want to redo. If i were to do a clean install then get information back with a system image will that avoid problems or will they be transfered from the image?
-
OK ill be sure to do that once its in the new system. Is there anything i need to do before had to prep the system for transfer? I read online that there was a command "sysprep" but I wasnt sure if this was for older versions of windows or it applied to all of them.
