So I built my new PC. I ended up naming it Dogmeat because if it ever screws up I can shout, "Damnit dogmeat". So whats in it?
First of all I used a Corsair 780T (White edition because the damn yellow one is out of production). I then decided to plop an Asus Z10PE-D8 WS into it. I know PC Partpicker says that this case and mobo are not compatible. But they were wrong. I then said fuck it and put two Intel Xeon E5-2630. But then I was like OMG I need RAM. What do I do? So I went and plunked 64 GB of Kingston DDR4 ram in quad channel. The last piece of computing hardware I got was my GPU which I chose a EVGA 980-Ti hybrid cooled GPU. Finally, I grabbed some coolers (Corsair H80I) to cool each CPU, a Corsair 1200 W PSU and for storage I loaded a 3TB Nas, a 4TB NAS and a Samsung 256Gb 850 Pro SSD. Was it worth it? YES. Will I need an upgrade any time soon? NONONONONONO!!!

IF you were too lazy to read my monolog of stats and you want to just read a list here it is.
    Case: Corsair 780T
    Mobo: Asus Z10PE-D8 WS
    CPU: two Intel Xeon E5-2630
RAM: 64 GB of Kingston DDR4 ram in quad channel.
    GPU: EVGA 980-Ti hybrid cooled
    PSU: Corsair 1200 W
    Coolers: Corsair H80I's
    Storage: 3TB Nas, a 4TB NAS and a Samsung 256Gb 850 Pro SSD

I love Dogmeat. I hope you like him too.

I absolutely love LMG and I have watched way to many build logs and videos. But @Linus! Why do you only do builds that are centered around the GPU? I would love to see some builds that compare workstation style rigs. Ya know creative RAID set ups and some number crunching. I will always be a fan but man I am a worker and not so much a hardcore gamer. I would like to see a build like, "Workstation builds that kick ass for under $1,000 !". Maybe I am alone in this. If I am then please disregard. Does anyone else share my enthusiasm for some badass work rigs? Ya know stuff that makes accountants and scientists cream their pants?

Actually I do know what a workstation is cause I own one with 2 xeon processors and a Asus Z10PE-D16 motherboard. I mean I get it that most people do not need that kind of stuff.

I guess I made a huge mistake with the way this post went. What I was getting at is building high end computers for people who are building computers for high computational work and scientific style research. Or maybe stuff for people who are into like excessive computing for economics or market research. I mean I get what people are saying but a huge number of the videos (I would say like 80-90% ) are builds that satisfy the needs of gamers not really workers or researchers like me.

I agree, the unboxing experience is cool because I find it gives me a feel for the overall product quality and what to expect if I actually bought it. If they combined that with an extended (two weeks - one month depending on product) review then I'd be pretty happy. That said, I like the stuff they're doing at the moment as well, and I guess we will likely see more new tech stuff when the new tech actually comes out.

Yeah that's why a combination of a proper review with a proper unboxing is really what I would love just because the "First time opening" experience gives (me at least) extra value.
