  1. Hi, I'm no genius when it comes to the software side of PCs, and I recently got a new SSD, I'd like to move windows 10 to the ssd but I'm not sure how exactly. I made a bootable USB and ran it, so all the windows files are on the SSD, but i don't know what to do from here, it's still booting from the old hard drive despite me changing the drive priority in the bios. My real question is, do i need to uninstall windows from / format the old hard drive to start using the new SSD as my boot drive? Or am I just missing something? Preferably I'd keep the data on the old hard drive, as it would take hours to back up / redownload all my stuff. But if that's the only or best way then I'm fine with it. Almost all of the guides and things I've seen on the internet about this have involved moving all of the data from the old drive to the new one, I my new SSD is, unfortunately, nowhere near large enough to do this. (256GB SSD and 1TB hard drive) Thanks
  2. so i'm having a slightly annoying problem with using two monitors. Say I'm in a game, in this case skyrim, on one monitor and have a chrome open on the second monitor watching a video, if I move my mouse in the direction of the second monitor and scroll the webpage will scroll down. As you can imagine it's pretty annoying when your video keeps sliding off the page. It's not really a major problem but it is quite irritating, if anyone has a solution and wants to share it that would be great, if not its no big deal.. thanks
  3. Hiya! So I just booted up an old asus s200e note/ultra book an installed windows 10 with the intent of watching videos on it. I immediately noticed YouTube videos would freeze up, audio cutting out video stopping momentarily etc. I checked the dropped frames for a video on 3 different quality settings: 1080p 60fps; dropped 7074/10294 frames 69% dropped 720p 60fps; dropped 4683/11659 frames 40% dropped 480p 60fps; 255/10365 frames 2% dropped The computer has a Intel pentium 987 (1.5 GHz) 4 GB ram Is the problem that the computer simply is to terrible to handle videos, or some thing else?
  4. I have been using a set of logitech G430 headphones for a little while now, ever since I got them I've experienced a few bugs or glitches. The main problem is that whenever i unplug them, the software crashes, and it also crashes whenever i wake my computer from sleep, which i do a lot, to make it more irritating, after restarting the logitech gaming software, some games sound doesn't return without restarting the game completely. I am also using a logitech G502, unplugging that does nothing. and seems to have no effect. The headset is plugged in via usb. Sorry if I missed any important info, most of my specs are on my profile. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
  5. almost forgot, geforce doesnt pick up terraria settings so i cant optimise it and system specs: i7-4710HQ 2.50GHz 16 GB RAM nVidia GeForce GTX 970M GPU windows 10 pro its a laptop with a 15 inch 1920 x 1080 display
  6. so i recently upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7, i quickly noticed that steam and many other applications were launching with an oddly low resolution, i was able to fix this by going to properties -> compatibility -> disable display scaling on high DPI settings, however this option is not available for in built windows programs which do also sometimes have the problem. the second problem i encountered was that i could not launch terraria though steam, the program appears in the task manager for about 4 second then disappears, however i can launch it through the .exe i validated my files and a lot of my games had files missing so i re installed steam as well, still not fixed, also some odd screen tearing and stuttering in just cause 2, i reinstalled my graphics driver and that fixed the stuttering problems in jc2 but not terraria, and steam still won't launch the game. the launchers for fallout NV and skyrim instantly stop responding upon launching and have to be closed. so i dont know what to do. please if anyone knows something i can do tell me asap!
