  1. Yes, I have everything plugged in and powered on (through the wall) I am aware that the CMOS doesn't power anything... I tested everything and a mix of all the possibilities above. I had the machine on, plugged into the wall (With new CMOS) and plugged tried the keyboard on all the ports.
  2. Hi smart people on the net. So, I have an issue with an older laptop. I am building a basic media center for my home using an older laptop mobo (Toshiba L50-a0383) I have the motherboard, RAM, HDD, CPU, Cooler, Battery, and screen. When I try to boot the system it displays Low RTC Battery - Press F2 to change Date and Time. I have no Keyboard connected to the inner port, so I cannot press F2. There is nothing that I can do and it seems that I have no input methods, other than a small button which instantly kills the power, and the on/off switch. What I have tried: - Removing the Battery and the CMOS and boot up the system (nothing) - Removing the hard drive and inserting a bootable USB in all the ports (nothing) - Connected to a network via network cable (nothing picked up) - Hold down the reset button 10+ seconds (nothing) - Hold down the on/off button 10+ seconds (nothing) - Hold down both buttons (nothing) - Replaced CMOS battery with brand new battery (nothing) - Plugged in a Microsoft std Keyboard (seems like it didn't even get power) - Plugged wireless Keyboard (no signal) tl;dr So my question is; how can I reset this Mobo to reconfigure the time/date settings or BIOS without the use of a keyboard.. Any suggestions welcome!
  3. I currently run an MSI R7 360 Well, the economy is bad, that might be a reason... right? So yeah, I WANT IT please man!
  4. Hi all. So I have had a desktop pc since 2010 and I am finally all saved up to start a new build! =) The case I will be getting (in a week or so) is the NZXT S340 (white) and I will light it up with some LEDs. After some research (Linus' stuff that doesn't suck) I saw some people mention the window's inability to resist scratches. I thought why make this a bad thing? The plastic they use is simple ABS plastic. So my idea is to etch a drawing onto the window. I have an artistic friend that will do this, has anyone come across something similar? What are your thoughts? The picture might be of a GoT Dire Wolf... still debatable though I will also post the pictures and results as we go ahead with the project
  5. Will it still be possible to Overclock this CPU even though it is a locked CPU. Will it be worth the OC?
  6. Hi guys. I am in the process of building a new PC, on a tight budget. I currently have an Intel i5 2400 3.1GHz With my understanding of CPUs this is not an overclocking compatible CPU, but is it still possible to rather spend money on cooling than a new i5 4950. Any advice will be appreciated.
