  1. Im guessing that the black wire on the right set of wire is the negative/ground and I would hook up the bare copper wire and the mic negative to it. then green to green, red to red, and white to white. Does that make sense to you?
  2. white is mic+ and blue is mic-
  3. Okay so I know that the green is for the left and that the red is for the right after looking inside the headset.
  4. From what I have learned one is left sound, one is right sound, one is mic, and one is the ground.
  5. Then what would I do with the copper bare wire? It looks to be the ground.

  7. I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong section. Recently my headset shorted in the jack that plugs into the amp. I bought another cheap 4 conductor male cord to use as a replacement to the one which was shorted out. I cut one end off each wire hoping to be able to splice the two ends together but the two ends are not identical and I am not sure how I would wire the two ends together. Any help would be much appreciated. Also the copper wire on the left side of the picture has an insulated white wire inside of it.
