I agree, however Gigabyte which is 15 minutes from me in Pasadena;  I dislike their RMA.  You have to send in your mobo or video card and they fix it and send it back.  While others like Logitech or ASUS send you a bran new board when you go through their RMA and what not.

    SPONSOR MESSAGE (please read)

HTC has been making massive waves with their HTC One Android smartphone, and while unfortunately we are not able to bring you any HTC Ones in this giveaway, the available options are absolutely rockin'. My wife has been using a DROID DNA for quite a while now, and with its S4 Pro processor and gorgeous 1080p screen it is a head-turner in spite of, or perhaps BECAUSE of the fact that most people don't recognize exactly what phone it is, particularly here in Canada.

TLDR: HUGE thanks to HTC for making this giveaway possible. You guys freakin' rock and the support you're showing for our brand new community is overwhelming!

Guys, this is one of the biggest giveaways we've ever done. HTC is making it all possible by providing us with not one, not two, not three, not four... Oh wait actually four.

This is a Linus Tech Tips giveaway, so I'm keeping it "unofficial" and opening it up to the world. With that said HTC is going to cover helping me ship TWO of the phone globally, while the other two will only be shipped to the USA only. We will draw four winners and in a case where more than 2 winners are outside of the USA will we re-draw.

Now for the really cool part. You actually get to PICK the phone you want from the list of available phones! With that said, the phones available in the different regions vary a little bit.

Prizes: 4 HTC smartphones with a "pick your prize" approach!

USA winners can pick between the following:

    Huh?

Im saying the advancements are irrelevant.  The 2nd amendment is not  there until technology makes things more dangerous.  The 2nd amendment is there so that the citizenry may be armed with arms comparable to that of whatever the modern infantry soldier of the time is.  That was its intention.

That really is a poor statement.

To make that statement would mean quite a few things.

1-  It would mean the people that debated for months and wrote the constitution did not understand that technology would progress.  These were not dumb people.  They did not believe they were at the pinnacle of technology and it would never be more inventions.

2 -  It would also mean everything in the constitution could only be applied to 18th century technology.  That meams

Freedom of speech gone -  They did not have the ability to comprehend there would one day be this thing called the internet where you could instantly spread your message to billions of people

Freedom of religion gone -  They did not have the ability to understand that people would come up with new religions or even alter existing ones.

Freedom of the press is gone -  No way they understood that even the printing press would become so advanced that they could print up enough copies to circulate to many millions of people in just a single day

You have to be careful trying to state the constitution only applied to life as they lived it in the 18th century.  You can lose a whole boatload of rights based on that ideology.

That statement right there shows your misconception.  Don't assume that because people feel the government should not be allowed to prevent them from owning a firearm to protect themselves and their families, that they ALSO believe weapons are the answer to everything and that bigger is simply better.  The majority of gun owners are not the crazies that you make them out to be.

As a gun collector and someone who lives the outdoor Canadian lifestyle, my views are a little skewed to one side.
I do believe that gun control laws are not the answer because criminals or crazy people don’t care about the laws.  They are going to acquire or make (http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/may/06/3d-printer-gun-has-been-fired) their own and do what they please with them.
The only way to solve this issue is education about firearms, proper firearm storage and background checks.  Also it might help if the justice system was actually effective and not letting the crazies get off easy because they “didn’t know”.
But then again you can take all that with a grain of salt because I also believe that open and concealed carry (with accessible permits) would decrease crime.

    Just my 5c....

Right now, the Second Amendment is sort of like a reality check for our government. This means that if our government does something that infringes on our rights, 80 million Americans could easily overthrow our government. When there is no Second Amendment, what is there to keep our government and our military from becoming just as oppressive as the North Korean regime? Absolutely nothing.

Many people have taken this the wrong way. The NRA supports the rights of individuals to own personal defense weapons. Personal defense weapons are not nuclear weapons by any stretch of the imagination. They are intended to be used to defend yourself and your freedoms. And quite frankly, they do. Unfortunately, because of the liberal main stream media, you never hear about the success stories like families who have defended themselves with a gun against violent criminals. You only hear about the statistically rare cases where guns are used for violence.

I'm Sorry - but the logic behind the 'video games are evil causes of school shootings' is the same logic that could be used to say 'if guns kill people, spoons make people fat'.
The entire gun control issue is completely blown out of proportion - the reasons behind the shootings vary, but most if not all of them could've been prevented had people taken the time to properly identify the mental instability in the perpetrators.
The reason that the right to bear arms was included in the constitution of America is because the founding fathers knew that no matter what government/society/system that has been established in this world - eventually they fall and usually do some pretty horrific stuff on the way down - the right to bear arms is a safety, or check for the government in case it goes too far - so that the people have the ability to stand up and fight back in the event that the government decides to go overboard.
IE - Germany - the Nazi Government took away all weapons from civilians because it didn't want to have a problem with it's own people after it started the Holocaust.

If a government is scared of it's own people having weapons, there is something wrong with that government!!!
