Recreate the boot drive, maybe on a different usb.
Are you using USB 3 or 2?- Try using the other.

If none of that works, try running memtest

update bios first if possible, on my 570x i had to disable wifi adapter, otherwise windows would not complete the install

I assume you have no overclock on your CPU and GPU ?  Also can I assume you have done DDU ?  Monitor making that noise is not good.  All you did was change monitors... it shouldn't dot his.  I think you should talk to MSI RMA and explain to them the pixel noise on black screen and do a RMA and I hope its under warranty.  good luck

There can be lots of different sources:

    1. Your modem needs to support Gigabit
    2. Your router needs to support Gigabit
    3. Your cables need to support Gigabit (Cat 5e or better)
    4. Your cables need to be in good shape (e.g. no hard bends)
    5. Your computer's NIC needs to support Gigabit
    6. Your Wi-Fi needs to support Gigabit (e.g. 802.11g can only to 54 Mbit)

Take a computer/laptop and connect it directly to the modem. Make sure the computer has a (good) NIC that supports at least Gigabit ethernet. Make sure you use a short cable with no hard bends. Now run some speed tests. If you get full speed, your modem shouldn't be the issue.

Next, connect your router to the modem and plug your computer directly into the router. Run the same speed tests again. If you still get full bandwidth, the router isn't the issue. You can then try to plug your computer to the different cables in your house and see if the results change. If so, then that particular cable is probably damaged or bent too much.

For Wi-Fi, both your router and your client need to have 802.11ac (aka Wi-Fi 5) or better. Otherwise you'll not be getting Gigabit over Wi-Fi (You'll probably never get full bandwidth over Wi-Fi, depending on how many Wi-Fi clients there are at the same time).

As a followup, I finally contacted them. They're giving me a store credit refund which is fine with me, I'll replace the current card with an MSI one. I do have to send back the old card too.

See if you can phone Newegg and explain the situation and have customer support start the refund process. Just because there's no button on your end doesn't mean they can't refund it. Even if for whatever reason they refuse to give a refund, I'm sure if you explain that you want to purchase a different model from a different manufacturer instead, they should be willing to give you a refund in the form of store credit/gift card that you could use to buy the MSI card.

I'm not completely sure about cpu but ram no you wont but with the mobo (motherboard?) i believe you would have to something i've always been told that every windows installation will only work with that one motherboard you installed it with.  but don't quote me on it

You'll just need to get into your motherboard BIOS to ensure your new CPU and/or RAM is set up.

You will need to reactivate Windows sometimes if you have a new motherboard, so I've heard.

Nvidia control panel manages what gpu to use.

You need intel drives, and the dispaly is connected to the intel gpu only. You can reinstall drives if you want.

NickB reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Laptop has 2 display adapters
The NVIDIA driver handles what GPU the application runs on. It configures this automatically so you don't have to touch anything. If you want force an application to run on one GPU or the other, you can do so on the NVIDIA Control Panel.

If you reinstall the Intel GPU drivers, the system should still work. Otherwise it won't really work if you leave them uninstalled, though Windows will likely download and install a driver anyway.

Totally software controlled. I believe via Nvidia control panel but it is also prob a drive thing as well.

You aren't going to find one for that price with an SSD, or a dedicated GPU.

Like I pointed out in your previous post, add the SSD after purchase, it's very hard to find a good laptop that has 1TB SSD (and they are expensive). HP Envy x360 meets your needs.

Everyone had bad experience with brands, however this doesn't mean that you don't want to buy from them anymore. It really depends on luck and also model.

Maybe you got a low quality model. Remember, every brand has good and bad models.

i would like to make a correction to every one else though the titan xp IS better for gaming and beats the 1080ti most cases but its within a very close percentage for a several 100 dollar difference though price to performance 1080ti beats the shit out of the titan xp

    Just get a 1080 Ti.

Better for gaming and better for your wallet. It’s almost the same card as a TITAN XP.

As of right now, it’s the top gaming-oriented GPU. There’s a reason the TITAN is no longer branded as a GeForce GPU.
