  1. This is the clip. The song is MagicMe by Imogen Heap
  2. If you don't have a windows account, you could use a program like Macrium Reflect to clone your drive but there's cons to it which can cause issues down the road. You could also just copy over what you need and get a cheap Windows key off of ebay from a reputable seller.
  3. Fair enough, the rest of the parts i suggested are really subjective but it gives you an idea of how much head room you have not to mention the RTX 3070 being an extra 500$. You got this! Congrats on the new build, always an exciting time.
  4. Curious, why intel specifically? And what do you want to do with said build
  5. If you can wait a few months, wait for the next get CPUs to launch. Prices should drop by then and save you some money for other parts in your build. If not, 3600. You have less cores/threads but you get access to PCIe 4.
  6. Few minor suggestions. Do you plan on OCing the CPU? If you are but not by much, I recommend dropping the AIO cooler for a cheaper Air cooler. Something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212. Use the money you save to up the storage space on the main drive, something like the ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO 1TB. 7. I assume you mean with the first drive. Which I should clarify is an M.2 so I can't
  8. So it's not detectable ever with the Sata ribbon clip adapter in the laptop. But it is detectable with the SATA to USB adapter using a USB port on the laptop. On the flip side, the Sata ribbon clip works if I use a different drive, in this case, I used an old intel SSD. So both hardware pieces work. They just don't appear to work together.
  9. MSI GT72VR 6RE Dominator Pro Intel i7-6700HQ GTX 1070 8Gb 32 GB RAM 256GB Kingston M.2 SSD 1TB HTSG HDD BIOS Version E1785IMS.199 I've been working on a friend's laptop to deal with some of the issues it had. While fixing everything, I also updated the bios and reinstalled Windows. During the windows installation I noticed that the second hard drive wasn't on the list of drives I could install to but I didn't think anything of it. After startup, the hard drive was still not showing up, so I figured it was a bios setting and checked that. Still nothing, the BIOS only shows the main SSD and the Disc drive. Things I've tried: Reconnecting the HDD Connecting the HDD with a external Sata to USB adapter (HDD works on another computer AND the laptop) Connect a different Hard drive using the laptop's cable (All I had was an old Intel SSD and the laptop picks it up no problem) Changing the 'Sata Mode Selection' from RAID to AHCI, Windows wouldn't boot. Changing from UEFI to Legacy, Windows wouldn't boot Changing it to UEFI + COM, Windows won't boot I'm pretty sure i have all the required drivers installed. I just don't understand why it would detect another drive and not it's own. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks!
  10. Civ 6 (Hard copy) is on Amazon.ca for 60$ CAD if anyone is interested... it's slightly cheaper than GMG IF and ONLY IF you have Amazon Prime. https://www.amazon.ca/2K-Games-710425418303-Civilization-VI/dp/B01FH0K09S/ref=sr_1_36?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1480355329&sr=1-36 and yes.. I know.. a dollar cheaper..
  11. Yeah I know.. but with the Canadian dollar where it's at.. I'll take what I can get..
  12. Here you are! Links are to Memory Express! They have some other good deals too but these were what I was after. 250GB >> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX55511 500GB >> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX55510
  13. Just to piggyback onto this. If you know a place that does price matching/beating in Canada (ie. Memory Express, Best Buy) This would be a eligible.
  14. Yeah. I think that's a good idea.. Thanks a bunch... definitely felt my heart sink a few inches when it didn't start up again..
  15. HOWEVER... still no bios code on the top right of the motherboard
  16. This worked.. I'm able to run the bios and it even booted into windows...Now my question is what went wrong...
  17. Tried clearing CMOS by first ubplugging the PC from the wall and turning it on after 15 minutes didn't work. I've also tried to clear CMOS by removing the battery and turning on and it still didn't work.
  18. After 15 minutes I tried to turn it on, it beeped once shut off and turned on again but still no display
  19. Hey, I seem to be having some issues getting my PC to boot into BIOs.. It would turn on but it wouldn't post. This happened after i tried to install the new Geforce Experience. An error popped up for the install and the program just crashed. There was a white box on the bottom right of the screen and I couldn't find what program was causing this so i decided to restart the computer. The computer shut off just fine but it won't start up again...Where should i go from here? or should I just bite the bullet and take it to the local shop. Parts are as follows: MSI X99A SLI Krait Edition 32GB Ripjaws4 DDR4 2400 Intel I7-5820-K GTX Titan X (Maxwell) Intel 750 1.2Tb Corsair RM1000 Monitor is a Acer XB280HK 28" 4K
  20. I choose the Razer Blade simply for a laptop for gaming on the go. I do quite a bit of traveling for work so this would be ideal for my trips! Thanks for the giveaway!!

  22. Hey guys, so this is something I stumbled upon when looking for a DIY like gift for my little cousin. I love electronics of all kinds and like you said in the video It's difficult sometimes to explain things to people and have it just fly over their head. Now what if THEY could troubleshoot themselves and learn something from it as well!? My Gift idea is something called "littleBits Gizmos & Gadgets Kit"(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0147YATSW/ref=s9_al_bw_g21_i1) for my little cousin. This is something i'm very excited about and might consider getting a kit for myself to tinker with. It's something that I hope can inspire my cousin, whose in grade 9, to be creative and invent something cool while learning a little about the electronics he gets to enjoy everyday!
