If you don't have a windows account, you could use a program like Macrium Reflect to clone your drive but there's cons to it which can cause issues down the road. You could also just copy over what you need and get a cheap Windows key off of ebay from a reputable seller.

First potential build suggestions welcome
Magicmuhaha replied to pr0wl3r4's topic in New Builds and Planning
Fair enough, the rest of the parts i suggested are really subjective but it gives you an idea of how much head room you have not to mention the RTX 3070 being an extra 500$. You got this! Congrats on the new build, always an exciting time. -
Which Intel Core i7 processor should I pick?

Curious, why intel specifically? And what do you want to do with said build -

Should I go for the 3600 or 2700x in 2020?
Magicmuhaha replied to F1nnegan's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
If you can wait a few months, wait for the next get CPUs to launch. Prices should drop by then and save you some money for other parts in your build. If not, 3600. You have less cores/threads but you get access to PCIe 4. -

Few minor suggestions. Do you plan on OCing the CPU? If you are but not by much, I recommend dropping the AIO cooler for a cheaper Air cooler. Something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212. Use the money you save to up the storage space on the main drive, something like the ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO 1TB. I assume you mean with the first drive. Which I should clarify is an M.2 so I can't

So it's not detectable ever with the Sata ribbon clip adapter in the laptop. But it is detectable with the SATA to USB adapter using a USB port on the laptop. On the flip side, the Sata ribbon clip works if I use a different drive, in this case, I used an old intel SSD. So both hardware pieces work. They just don't appear to work together.

MSI GT72VR 6RE Dominator Pro Intel i7-6700HQ GTX 1070 8Gb 32 GB RAM 256GB Kingston M.2 SSD 1TB HTSG HDD BIOS Version E1785IMS.199 I've been working on a friend's laptop to deal with some of the issues it had. While fixing everything, I also updated the bios and reinstalled Windows. During the windows installation I noticed that the second hard drive wasn't on the list of drives I could install to but I didn't think anything of it. After startup, the hard drive was still not showing up, so I figured it was a bios setting and checked that. Still nothing, the BIOS only shows the main SSD and the Disc drive. Things I've tried: Reconnecting the HDD Connecting the HDD with a external Sata to USB adapter (HDD works on another computer AND the laptop) Connect a different Hard drive using the laptop's cable (All I had was an old Intel SSD and the laptop picks it up no problem) Changing the 'Sata Mode Selection' from RAID to AHCI, Windows wouldn't boot. Changing from UEFI to Legacy, Windows wouldn't boot Changing it to UEFI + COM, Windows won't boot I'm pretty sure i have all the required drivers installed. I just don't understand why it would detect another drive and not it's own. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks!

Here you are! Links are to Memory Express! They have some other good deals too but these were what I was after. 250GB >> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX55511 500GB >> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX55510

Just to piggyback onto this. If you know a place that does price matching/beating in Canada (ie. Memory Express, Best Buy) This would be a eligible.
