  1. 390 and 390x are so close its not worth the extra money. Just like it was with the 290/290x, obviously.
  2. It did freeze on the BIOS screen so I was unable to get into bios. I had to clear CMOS several times. I never saw that windows loading animation (balls forming a circle) although it went all the way to where the PC scans for a drive with an OS on it. It just stopped and the white box kept flashing. I really don't want to install windows again. I had the pleasure to do that a few times because of different reasons not so long ago. Sorry for my average English. I'm from Germany.
  3. It always failed booting before windows would start, I never had a BSOD because of RAM overclocking, do you think I might stil have a problem? So far Im running perfectly fine. I put my RAM back to my XMP profile. In Tech yes citys video it looked quiet managable to overclock RAM. Thanks for helping before bad things might have started.
  4. Thanks for the input. Do you think more voltage will still be safe? How important are those secondary timings for performance? In BF4 my 4690k is actually "bottlenecking" my 980 in multiplayer games, but not very often by any means.
  5. Holy shit. You think thats really necessary? i had a lot of failed boots, and my OS is still running. Im using intels XTU to test for memory stability. Do you think I can run 1.6v an my 1.5v rated stocks as well? How much will more voltage help with timings?
  6. I know that it makes little to no difference, Im just doing it for fun. I can even do 2400mhz at 1.55v but with pretty fucked up timings.
  7. I managed to overclock my RAM quiet a bit. Do you guys think my overclock is safe? Might I be able to push it even further? XMP settings for my RAM: Voltage: 1.5v frequency: 1866mhz Timings: CL9-10-11-30 My Overclock: Voltage: 1.55v frequency: 2133mhz Timings: CL11-12-12-35
  8. I will keep it at least at 4.6ghz. Temps are fine and my 980 needs all the power it can get in BF4. I hope someone has an idea for 4.7 though.
  9. Im working on bringing the voltage for my 4.7Ghz overclock down. my chips scaling so far: 4.5Ghz-1.185v core voltage 4.6Ghz-1.25v " 4.7Ghz-1.355v " As you can see i need a hugh pump on the core voltage to get over 4.6ghz. Things I already tried to get the core voltage down: 1.3v cache voltage at 3.0Ghz cache frequency Set RAM speed to 1333mhz Input Volage: 1.6v-2.1v nothing seemed to help so far. I welcome all ideas! PS: Sorry for my average english, im from germany.
