  1. CES coverage is very lacking from LTT this year, what's going on?
  2. ByJust buy a used i7 7700 and a cooler problem fixed. And sell the 7400 for $75. It will perform almost as well as any new CPU platform and within 10 fps you just can't overclock.
  3. Dont use Modified Sine Wave inverters on any sensitive electronic equipment or things you care about. We sell Victron where I work https://www.victronenergy.com/inverters/phoenix-inverter-compact any good quality 24v 1500w inverter will cost around $1000.00.
  4. 1440 all the way. What scaling issues do people have at 1440p on a 27 monitor. None I'm using a 1070 on a Acer 1440 ips with g sync. Buy the best monitor you can afford it will out last many GPU. Also a 1080ti can still struggle to get 144 locked at 1080 in some games Pub G.
  5. Nobody has idea where to go next? Power supply?
  6. Ive got a old Acer SFF PC 1st gen I7 950 I was using as Media PC, the hard drive failed and I just got around to changing it. After the change it will not post and cant get to Bios just loops fans ramp up and stop and power button flashs in time with the boot. I have done the following, Removed hard Drives, removed GPU, removed TV Tuner, Remove and tested each Ram stick in each slot, Removed Bios Battery, resetted all the power supply cables. But still stuck at loop with just one stick of ram in any slot. Any Ideas?
  7. Or pick up a used i7 950 and a 1050 GPU and have a well performing 1080p gaming rig at low to medium setting. I think some people are very quick to tell people to upgrade everything, if your short on cash CPU upgrade is a great option.
  8. Prices are for once a lot better in Aus than US 580 $450 1060 $450 1070 $750 1080 $900 1080ti $1150 These are starting prices but have seen the odd card even cheaper. I bet you could import a card back to the USA and still be Infront.
  9. Just use a 8700k who needs an i9 unless your streaming or editing for a living. 8700k does a good job at streaming with its fast 6 cores.
  10. The prices in the rest of the world are not as high as the USA. 1080ti are about $1200 Australia and where around $1100 last year. Most cards in Aus have went up about $100 to $200 depending on the GPU.
  11. Set up an alert on Google for one on sale. It may take a while but one will turn up.
  12. Why would anyone need PCIe m.2 in raid. Just buy x2 Samsung Pro m.2 in 1tb and leave them. And save yourself the time and money.
  13. More RGB LEDs that's about it may be an extra m.2 slot.
