OC Genie is garbage, set me at 4.0 and 1.4v hahahahaha
 
Just set mult to 44 and set voltage to 1.3v. If it's stable in Windows just keep taking down the voltage until it becomes unstable 

Just to expand on this, it's because OC Genie puts more current than is necessary into your CPU, causing overheating and possibly damage.

That is an extremely unhelpful comment - I don't know what to expect from cooler master....

i have both of those fans in my system
2x silent wings on my cooler
1x nf-f12 as intake
 
the noise level of the noctua (with LNA) under full load is very noisy, but the silent wings stayed silent, i can barely hear them tbh
 
so i recommend the silent wings, but if they cost double as much, i guess its up to you if the silence is worth it

Just ordered one. I'm the only person I know with a custom rig.

Yeah, I'd say just get the 7v adapter, I mean, 5 pound isn't alot and you can choose the colour of the cable. Should provide enough airflow while being quiet, if you want it quieter still, you can just buy the 5v and keep the 7v as a spare.
