  1. Well I just miscliecked and mark his answer as the solver. But didnt mean to do that. I use speccy to monitor the temps. The legs are all snapped in
  2. Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. I am using the stock cooler that game with the i7. I know people say that are worth a shite in a handbag but still it shouldnt be idling at 53C. I will get some new thermal paste ASAP and try get that on to see if it fixed it.
  3. So my CPU is overheating but all my fans are fine and so is my GPU. This is of course causing my computer to run extremly slow and making simple tasks very difficult to complete. The CPU idle's are 55 to 60 degress C but when a launch a game like CS:GO or any moderatly intensive program it's goes to around 100-110 C. The CPU is an Intel I7 3770k at 3.40GhZ (not overclocked) I am running on mostly stock gear on a PC i built myself about 1 year ago. I took off the heatsync to inspect and the thermal paste I had applied does appear to be a little dried up so I am not sure if this is an issue. I searched forums and neve heard of thermal paste drying out. I'm open to any suggestions/help I can get, Thanks, Eanna5
