Definatly a problem if max fan speed on the GPU is resulting in a tempeture of almost 80c. The CPU temp is completely fine
-
Don't think that would be a very good idea.... All that air could damage your components

Looks Good

All the time now

Absolutely.

A really bad drawing of a house?

Oh Shit! My bad, I was responding to another thread with a similar problem. Your MB is LGA 1151 and the CPU is LGA 1151 compatable. You should be fine with the your current motherboard. Sorry for any confusion

Ok then. On that note, an i5 will work just fine with the 1080. No need to get a i7 if you don't really need it for anything else. Subsequently, you will need to update your motherboard. Definatly bump your PSU upto atleast 550w. My rig draws almost 470w of power

That very well could be your problem. Try using the Front IO for recording your voice. A splitter might be necessary, the rear input isn't what you want to use with ear buds. That's more for surround sound.

Do you think I should file a warrenty claim with Corsair and get a replacement? Would that resolve the issue?
-
$150 for a 1080? that card shouldn't be that cheap. Something must be wrong with it.

I just bought the PSU about 3 weeks ago. The PSU is mounted downwards and if I try to fix it, I will break my warrenty.

Here, Try this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mC8Xqk Saved you some money and upgraded your current system. To play your games, you don't need a 1070, a 1060 will work perfectly for you. My buddy has one and he can play those games comfortably on max settings.

It all depends on your budget... For a low end pricing, I would say multiple 1060s or 970s or 960s. If u want to be the big man on the block.... I think u should go with SLI 1080s or 980s. If u want to get the TI varients, that is up to you. I have a 1080ti and I love it. Single card works just fine for me.

What would do for compadibliity, use pcpartpicker.com . It will help a lot. Also may I ask why your grandmother needs a dedicated GPU?

For the harddrive, you can get a 3tb Seagate Barracuda for less. It works great, I have one and I love it. Just use an SSD for a boot drive. Speed matters for booting

Hello, I have a cx550m PSU from corsair and its making this awful noise all the time... is this normal or do I need to make a warrenty claim. Is my PSU just s**t? Here is what it sounds like: https://youtu.be/yWEqwXjreXE

Yes, I am well aware of that. I actually used PC part picker to design my PC. I bought it all on amazon so I could utilize my Prime 2-day shipping. Its a little bit more expensive, but I wanted my PC asap. I built it about 2 weeks ago.

I have a 1080ti aswell. I used to play on a laptop with an 840m and was severely disappointed in it. The 1080ti for me is perfect for playing Recon Wildlands at 1080p ultra settings. I think to run 1440p, you will need either a better CPU or SLI. The 1080ti should have no problem running 1440p, just depends on optimization.

Personally, I would stay as far away from the Razer Kraken Pro 7.1s. They have a problem where people can hear themselves through the headset for no apparent reason. I have been trying to find a fix for the past few months but no luck. The microphone quality is also subpar

I have an i7 7700k and a 1080ti founders editon 11gb in my system. How hot should those run? If they are too hot I'm going to upgrade to liquid cooling for them. View my Entire PC: Here
