This actually helped a lot thank you. I could not fine these service manuals and they helped with this and will help with future repairs if needed (fingers crossed). I measured continuity across the switch again with the power off and there was continuity so I guess it placed my probes poorly and the switch is stuck so I ordered a new nos assembly for it.

So I have an old Weller WTCP station from 1970 which has the magnastat heating system and it just continuously heats up, to the point it gets red hot in dim lighting. I know sometimes the tips go bad because the tip dictates the temperature so I replaced that and it didn't change anything. The switch is open when the unit is off and then closed when it is on so I know its not stuck or anything. One idea I had is that the ground prong on the power cable broke off so I don't know if that actually has a part to play in the heating aspect or if its just for safety. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I'm looking to connect a gen 2 clarett (which uses thunderbolt 2 which is the same connector as mini display port) to my laptop (which is thunderbolt 3 which is a USB type C connector) I can't find any cable or adapter online that specifically says "thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3" except the apple one and I really don't wanna pay 40 dollars. So does anyone know if I can just use one that says mini display port to thunderbolt 3?

My current phone is an S9 and I haven't had it that long, I got it for free from my carrier because they stopped support for the phone I had before which was a Motorola One Hyper which I actually rather liked. My biggest problem with the S9 right now is the charging port is intermittent and while I could probably get it fixed I don't think its really worth it for a phone I don't really like anyway. I recently came into possession of a pc that was all hardline water cooled and had two Titan Xp's in it. I want to use one of them and put it into my air cooled pc. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement air cooler for a Titan Xp? Thank you.

So whenever any audio entering my 4i4 reaches a certain clipping point, the unit just disconnects then reconnects. And i mean any audio, so if someone screams over discord and clips the audio enough it will disconnect. (yes I know it's hilarious) and when it reconnects it will sometimes just stop working entirely where it can't send or receive audio over USB. So I can still hear myself through the interface with my mic but I cannot hear any audio from my pc. The only way to fix it is restarting my pc. I've noticed it only does this after it has disconnected 3-4 times. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them, thank you.

yeah you're probably right about the home button, im probably just used to it. But yeah expandable storage is pretty important to me (i might catch some heat for this but whatever) because i have all music locally on my phone, right now its at 76gb and I'm always expanding it. I just prefer having the files.

So my Samsung S7 Edge is done and has been done for a while but I've kept using it. It has the signature pink line down the screen, its getting really slow, the battery has gone to shit, and it gets pretty hot. I want to get a new Android phone but I have no idea what to look at, I'll list some of my requirements and hopefully you guys can recommend something. Needs micro sd card storage (at least 128gb) headphone jack decent camera nano sim card (i think that's what is used on the S7 edge correct me if I'm wrong) not samsung lol preferences metal construction (glass is fine too) home button Another thing is my S7 edge sucks with texts and calls and stuff and i believe its because I got a verizon S7 refurbished and unlocked and I have AT&T and I just entered a bunch of info that i have no idea what it means that i found online that made it somewhat as best as I could get it. So I would prefer a new AT&T phone most, but refurbished AT&T would also be fine. If I have to get an unlocked one then so be it, I'll just figure it out. Hopefully someone can make some sense out of that last section. Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to take the entire console text at the end of the program and save it as a string variable. Then after I will take the string variable and save it as a text document. What would be the best way to tackle this obstacle? Thank you!

I recently acquired a pretty decent laptop that was being thrown away because I need a laptop for college. I installed Windows 7 professional on it because it's the only OS disc I have. Everything went alright, It booted into Windows and it was missing like a ton of drivers but I already knew that would happen because the Windows disc is pretty bare bones (doesn't come with any ethernet drivers or anything). I installed the ethernet and Wi-Fi drivers from a flash drive then I just downloaded the rest of the drivers online. After I got all the drivers I started installing some programs and thought it was all good. I then did a Windows update and it did it's thing for a while and now when ever it boots into windows (specifically the login screen) I can't use the mouse or keyboard. It is important to note that I can use the mouse and keyboard in the bios settings though. I have tried booting into safe mode, booting to the last known good configuration,disabling driver signature enforcement, and using an external mouse and keyboard and still no luck. So at this point should I just reinstall windows?

First, I know OTG cables are like super cheap and stuff but idc because im a cheap bastard and I also want to make one. Ok so I want to connect my PS3 controller to my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This might be a stupid question but, could I theoretically just connect two male USB ends, one being Micro-USB and one being Mini-USB?

So I unfortunately dropped my Samsung S7 Edge last night and this happened. I am going to get it fixed but I am extremely short on cash. I was wondering if there was a temporary fix where at least the panel still works and doesn't bug the fuck out like it does, I can deal with the crack for now tbh. I know this is a stretch but it's worth a shot.

I just got a new phone recently (refurbished Samsung S7 Edge) and new SanDisk 128gb micro SD card to go with it. I am trying to set up my music right now and VLC won't show all the files kind of. Basically the way i have the directory set up is under settings, i go to media library folders then choose my SD card, then choose my music folder. And the way my music folder is set up is Music Folder>Artist>Album>song. So in the songs tab it shows all of the songs, in the albums tab it shows only some of the albums and under the artists tab it shows even less of the artists. On my old phone (which was also an android) something like this would happen where it wouldn't show everything at first and you just had to wait a bit for everything to show up. But that would only take a few hours at most, I gave it like 3-4 hours and nothing has changed. So any help will be appreciated, Thank you.
