  1. i have not tried that yet, i will try it and let you guys know.
  2. well its stock but i have looked up what it should be and it should be at around 2700RPMs to 3000RPMs
  3. I just built this PC last week and when i put it together and turned it on, i got a CPU fan error message. I noticed the CPU fan would not spin when it was in the cpu_fan slot on the MB. I then pluged in the cpu fan into the chasis fan slot and it spun at 2500RPM. I contacted asus and thought it was my motherboard but they said it was the cpu fan. I then contacted intel and they sent me a replacement CPU fan and i tried it and i only get about 1000-1300 RPM's on the fan. I did update my bios to latest version, tried the trick where you lower the lower limit fan speed, i also dont believe its my PSU because i have no random shutdowns. One this to note here is that the chasis fan works when i plug it into the CPU_fan slot but at about 900RPM's. PLEASE HELP! 4. Hey, i need some advice on this build that i'm making: CPU: I5 4690K MotherBoard: ASUS Z87-PRO ATX LGA1150 Z87 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 CROSSFIREX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 DVI HDMI Motherboard RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Memory Black 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL10 Dual Channel Memory Kit GPU: Powercolor Radeon R9 280X OC 1030MHZ 3G 6.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card I'm not concerned about anything else but i want to really know if this build is good. I can not fit a fx 970 in my build to to budget constraints. Also, this motherboard is $120 on a big sale, i see it is good for overclocking but is it a good pair with the i5 4690k and the GPU? Thanks for your time!
  5. i have a chance t buy the ram for only $60 regular $110, should i buy them?
  6. That CPU is almost half my budget for the entire PC, I am not really that picky in terms of performance but i would like somewhere around 80 frames on high and medium mix settings on games.
  7. I am sorry if this is in the wrong sections as i am new to the forums. I am building a PC for around $700 and i have done quite a bit of research in finding the best components. Im not worried about the power supply, case, fans or HDD yet, i am just concerned about these parts.
