I'm a forest firefighter but just to pay for school, I want to get a job in engineering when I'm done.

I don't think he meant the numbers of the payments, but how 21,000 a year isn't 7,000 a month. Also don't forget you'd need a down-payment to get a loan that high I'd imagine. Plus look into maintenance costs, I recall the maintenance on a R8 being pretty expensive I wouldn't be surprised if the GTR is similar.

What Linus and crew are doing is building a (very) mini data center.  Generally, DCs don't run on electrical power from a sub station directly, they run on batteries.  The sub station feeds the batteries.  In the case of power outages (lines, lightning, etc), they'll fire up whatever form of generator they have which will continue to keep the batteries charged.

Running off of batteries is the purest way to prevent any power disruptions, power spikes, etc.  It's just smooth, constant, and perfectly-conditioned DC power.  Obviously, you need to keep those batteries charged, and that's where the power (from the building, from a generator, from ...) comes into play.

They're doing the right thing.  They just need to vent that room a lot better.  Keeping batteries buttoned up on a small closet like that is a recipe for disaster.  They out-gas, and you do NOT want that bottled up.

Well if you're a full time student and lost a part time job, I'm guessing you wouldn't be eligible for employment insurance. So I'm guessing there's not much to do besides start looking for another part time job. If you have savings set aside to last a few months you can maybe live off of that until summer should you not be able to get a part time job before then. I'm also from Ontario, do you by chance enjoy outdoor work?

That depends on the headphone. Some headphones (like the Sennheiser Momentums and the Audio-Technica M50x') come with a propriatery 2.5mm locking connector, while other headphones (like the Audio-Technica MSR7s or the Philips SPH9500s) use a standard 3,5mm to 3,5mm aux cable.

Oh if it's for support reasons, just be extra clear. Like "I said version 1.342 when I meant to write 1.347" and if you think that won't clear it up just maybe rewrite all the version like "making the affected versions 1.245, 1.347, and 1.564" or whatever works best for your case. I feel like contacting them via email probably would make getting your point across easier but that's just me, I pretty much always email for support if it's an option.

Depends on the headphones. My ATH M50x have a proprietary detachable cable. But there are also models out there that go with the ordinary 3.5mm connection

4ms response time isn't slow at all, and anyways it's not even a measure of input lag if that's what concerns you. Even if it was, that's 0.004 seconds, which equates to less than a frame of lag.

In my opinion the PG279Q is superior to the PG278q in pretty much every way, it's worth a small price premium for IPS.

Oh wow eh, dual clutch transmissions are pretty neat, much better than a CVT in my opinion.

Not my area of expertise, but my friend bought a used Ninja and loved it. Also I bought my bike used and I'm pretty glad I did, I didn't feel bad the few times I bailed in the sand and on the trails (hopefully that's not something that'll happen to you on roads) but you save a lot of money and you're less worried about damaging it as you learn to ride. Hopefully other people here can be more helpful for street bikes.

If the Quebec course is anything like the optional safety courses put on here in Ontario I wouldn't be too worried. From what my friends have said they teach you how to do everything like you've never touched a bike before, plus your experience driving means you should hopefully already know the general rules of traffic so there's one less thing to worry about. I've never personally taken any safety courses though, I just go dirt biking with no licence so you can take what I say with a grain of salt I guess.

Spartancloud got a reaction from QueenDemetria in pirate group self-suspends to measure impact on sales for one year
Yeah I agree, piracy and theft are two different things however that doesn't justify piracy. Not being another crime doesn't mean it's not a crime, piracy is so common though to the point where it's often socially acceptable. I know a lot of people who pirate movies, music and to a lesser extent games, although I don't really get the whole it's not pirating if you only download and don't upload it. Just because it's not as bad of a crime (downloading without uploading) doesn't make it legal, I haven't decided if they're lying to themselves, trolling people or just really don't understand piracy (or maybe I don't, who knows). But I used to pirate when I was younger, and I used similar justifications to those people have said here like how I wasn't going to buy it anyway, but for me personally beating a game before I bought it really stopped me from buying it. I've since stopped doing that, if it's a product I enjoy I feel like I should pay for it so I buy my PC games now. But that's just me, I know people will continue to pirate as long as it's easy and the likelihood of getting caught is so low.
