  2. You make videos about technology.I liek technology. keep making videos about technology. P.S. PLease OC video cards in Benchmarks again. I always OC all my cards, so your old benchmarks were the closest to realistic performance out there.
  3. Seems like this is what I am going to have to do. Thanks for the help
  4. do you have both Afterburner and Trixxx, or any other similar softare installed, EVGA precision etc etc? Happened to me and i got the exact same problem
  5. UPDATE: I have done pin surgery and the pins are now seemingly flush. However I still fail to boot.
  6. Try Driver Sweeper to remove all your current drivers, then try to install the latest drivers from the internet. Aditionally, this may seem like a really silly suggestion. But did you make sure you selected the right GPU from the dropdown when dling the drivers? I wouldn't. Flashing GPU bios is to great of a risk of a brick for something like this... Don't see a correlation either.
  7. already tried multiple times... Specs are Biostar Hi-Fi B85N3D motherboard Intel Pentium G3220 CPU Corsair CX 430 PSU Corsair XMS3 Ram or something like that 2x 4gb dims Tried it with just one DIM of course case is the Cooler master elite 120 No GPU.
  8. So I was putting together a mitx rig today to use as a nas. And at first I thought I may of bent a few pins on the mobo. But I decided to put everything together first and try it to see if I had a problem. I put everything together and sure enough it POSTed fine. I then took a break and had lunch. When I came back The Computer wouldn't power up at all. Despite the fact I hadn't even touched it. I tried makeing sure everything was connected tight. I jumped the PSU, and it worked fine. Tried to short the power switch so its not my case button. I'm worried my Motherboard pins might in fact be bent, but then wouldn't I still get power, and just have post issues/weird beaks from the speaker? and wouldn't that have prevented it from posting earlier? Either way I am stuck. Would like some ideas before I attempt Motherboard surgery in case it is not the problem. Thanks. I will try to help other people in the mean time.
  9. Do you have a mobo speaker? are you getting a weird beep pattern from the MOBO speaker? or are you not even making it to POST?
  10. Are you running stock clocks on the GPU? Do you still get BSOD without afterburner installed?
  11. I like the waterproofness of the phone a feature that you really over looked. And the skin is nice cause it looks like it is part of the device, rather than a sticker.
  12. I don't care what anyone says, my favourite feature is the optical drive. They are extremely useful and in not enough computers these days.
  13. Balls, I am okay running everything at stock till PSU is upgraded, then I can switch to custom BIOS and OC my brain, out. Unfortuanately I do not have access to a wattmeter, else I would have already done that. I have no doubt in my mind that my 8350 is sipping power like crazy. I wonder how different a stock 780ti could be in power though, compared to the 7870 I am currently running at 1.3volts. Edit: meant no doubt.
  14. Wait all the reference cards are voltage locked? Damn nvidea... Anyway I am going to slap a waterblock on it and OC as much as possible, but if hit a PSU bottleneck I can work with stock speeds, until I can afford a new PSU.
  15. r9 270, I would only recomend a 750ti if you are limited to a really crap PSU or have no power connectors for it.
  16. Wow, thanks for the fast replies everyone/ I knew it would be enough for a 780ti, it's just I was not sure, considering my 8350 OCd is a huge power hog. And I have a lot of other crap. I definately will eventually.
  17. So I have a kind of crappy 700W OCZ 80+ PSU, that I was orignally ugrading with the purchase of an R9 290, but unfortuanately litecoin miners decided to go and ruin AMD for everybody. And then I waited 70 days dealing wtih dell's horrible customer service, becuase they were the last ones to have it at MSRP. Anyway TL;DR I cancelled that order, and am just going to say screw it and buy a 780ti. problem is I can not afford a new PSU and a 780ti. So I run a year old OCZ 700w 80%+ psu (year old cause capacitor aging might be a thing) and I already have a 8350 running 4.8ghz at around 1.5V, a pump and 10 noctua fans. Will the PSU support a 780ti? PSU calculators say I am good, but I never understood if they took efficency into account or not.
  18. I am curious to hear people's thoughts on the Elder Scrolls online pricing model. The pricing is as such: $60 for the game, $100 for the Imperial edition that gives you all the content, such as the ability to play as an imperial, and then $15 a month to actually play the game(first month is free with purchase). To me this price is a tad bit ridiculous it totals to $225 just to play the game for a year, and $265 for the first year to play as an imperial. I understand a subscription model worked well for WoW, But I feel that a lot of variables have changed, such as: 1. When WoW came out there was no other MMO to compete with it and steal your membership 2. WoW existed before a lot of successful F2P and one time purchase games online games existed. 3. It's freaking WoW there will never be a game as addictive as WoW. But at $15 a month ESO is not only more expensive then WoW, but more expensive then Netflix and XBL combined as well. I personally feel a more reasonable pricing of P2P would be to either charge the same amount for the game, and than two options of a $9.99 monthly subscription or a $59.99 annual subscription, with more like 3 months included free. Or to continue charging $15 a month, but giving everyone the digital imperial edition of the game for free. any way I would love to hear other people's thoughts on the pricing, are you willing to pay said price? did it make you cancel your preorder? or were you expecting it be even more? all views and opinions are welcome.
  19. I have a funny feeling this could turn out to be vapourware. I mean they are playing it like they had the technology the whole time, and it just never dawned on them to use it for gaming applications? I have a funny feeling this will never happen and it is just AMD trying to take some of the buzz away from G-sync.
  20. Okay thanks for the all help ITT I'll try it out wish me luck.
  21. Yes I knew that part, I am only concerned with the actual Source SDK required to run the game.
  22. Sorry, but could you clarify? Yeah to what? yeah it will work with TF2? also you mean premium member of TF2, as i, if they buy a hat or whatnot for a quarter it will work?
  23. Basically A bunch of my friends and I want to start playing Garry's mod, now that it's in the humble bundle. Problem is most of them don't have any source games and aren't interested in buying them, would it work with the free version of Team fortress 2? or even a pirated copy of another source tittle? I don't condone piracy in anyway, but I hardly can justify them paying for a game they'll never play. I mean even EA wouldn't make you buy battlefield just to play other Frostbite tittles. I'm not worried about textures, I heard there are ways around that, just the actual Source SDK I couldn't find a solid answer anywhere online. Thanks in advance.
  24. exactly this, except I would up the RAM, just because it is an APU based rig, But I don't know the budget, and with RAM prices the way they are, I am not sure if you can fit in an 8GB kit, let alone higher speed.
