  1. Hello,

    I just got my parts - 2x KINGPIN 2080 Ti, i9 10920x, 1tb 905p NVME and the EVGA X299 Dark.

    I'm getting the dF code.

Any way I can update the bios without entering to the bios?

OR was it shipped with the new motherboard chip?

Please help, getting the package from the US takes lots of time thanks to the quarantine.

I’m not to sure about this, but they are designed to be screwed in with a motherboard between the standoffs and screws, so that could be the problem?

Not the problem. Tried screwing it in with the motherboard but screws won't fit in the holes – I'll send a picture in 5 minutes maybe that helps.

It doesn't make sense at all, when for the same price you could get a 3950X, 4 extra cores, higher boost clocks and not to mention the far cheaper motherboard.

Are you using the old screws you had with the previous one, or are you using different ones?

Same old screws that came with my 760T back in 2015.

Your new motherboard is EATX, which means it's much wider than a standard ATX motherboard. Also can you explain your reasoning as to why you got a 10920X? It seems very illogical considering what's happening currently with Team Red.

Also, wanted the 10980XE but no stock everywhere.

  4. That's not the problem.

Are there any possibilities that the screws expanded?

As to why not team red, always I've been an intel guy.

I'm trying to screw in the screws without the motherboard to the case and they won't fit, it's like .02mm wider and it won't screw!

It's possible that your m.2 doesn't contain boot loader. Common problem when people buying new drive, made new Windows installation and Windows uses existing boot loader (located on old drive).

Google "how to add bootloader" or "missing efi boot partition" and you'll get many tutorials.

    My prayers to this.

    Thank you homeap5

  6. I updated my BIOS. Before that, it wouldn't even read the SSD.

I tried both UEFI and Legacy mode.

Nothing changes. My SSD just appears as a drive with no partition/windows boot manager, it's laying there in a comma.

It's very sad for her honestly.

So much time, so much surgery, so many medicaments to treat this disease.

    Nothing works :(

have you tried unpluging everything but the m.2ssd?

yeah I've tried literally everything lol.

EDIT: maybe not everything but I tried disabling CSM, unplugging everything, messing around in BIOS, disabling secure boot..

    I'm just super pissed.

Don't know what to do and I can't find anything on Google to help my needs.

Hopefully one of you knows what's going on

  8. Hello,

I brought back my m.2 SSD from my other PC, the SSD has windows installed.

Thing is, my motherboard won't read it as Windows Boot Manager.

It just says 1TB Samsung 970 PRO.

When I enter ASUS EZFlash, I can see all my windows files in my disk.

I booted into my PC from my HDD; I see everything.

My question is how can I boot from the m.2 SSD – fix the problem I'm having?

    Thank much for your time

  9. Hey,

So yesterday I finished my Pc build. Everything's working perfectly.

Anyways, I'm having trouble setting up windows on my 1tb 970 m.2 ssd; my motherboard detects it, everything goes just fine when installing windows from the USB drive, but then once I try to boot into the drive I cannot find it.

Here's how my BIOS looks :

  10. Hey, so finally my pc parts arrived.

I'm having some trouble installing my Thermaltake Riing RGB fans - I have no clue where to connect these cables :

What I've done until now is mount my motherboard, PSU & fans (which I'm trying to make work)

I'd watch the GN review and see how the case did (they ran multiple configurations with only 3 fans) before you pull the trigger.

The Thermaltake Riing are fans I've had good results with on multiple occasions. I've also used the Arctic F12 PWM fans and had good results with them. The Fractal Design Dynamic X2 are also good fans.

So you think I'd be fine with only 5 thermaltake riing fans?

You usually want to have the front and bottom fans be intake, while the top and rear fans are exhaust.

The O11 is a great case, but it's fan setup is really odd.

I would run 3 intakes at the side/front (whatever that is), 2 or 3 intake on the bottom, and 3 (or a radiator) on the top as exhaust. But that's me.

Here's Gamer's Nexus review of that case:

So I'll have to get 5 more fans. You think those thermaltake are good or do you recommend any other?

  13. Hello! Long time since I've posted here. So anyways, I've just moved and I wanted to build a new PC. What is the amount of fans I need for my Lian-Li Dynamic O11 Case & do you think it's a good case? I'm battling between that & the Thermaltake Tower 900

  14. Hey guys,

So, just today, I got my new GSP 600 & with it the GSX 1000.

I'm extremely glad with the sound quality in-game.. it's just impressive.

The problem I'm having, though, is that when I talk to friends (either be it on Discord, TeamSpeak, Steam chat and whatnot), to my surprise I hear them just... bad, like, I have to turn their volume down a TON to just support the noise (it basically gives me headaches), and a friend told me that my old mic worked better -- the old mic was one from a headset I had to buy in the supermarket for literally 20 bucks.. it's crap.

Do any of you know of anything I can do to try to fix this?

    Thanks

Either way, which GPU and PSU do you currently have? Having only a good CPU won't make your computer be the best. Video editing sometimes uses more of the GPU if it supports CUDA.

Steam is an official retail store whereas G2a is a bunch of resellers. It's like using ebay/craigslist as a baseline compared to Amazon. (A lot of G2A sellers buy keys when they're on sale/in bulk and/or from countries where prices are lower)
