  1. Have you verified the integrity of the game files?
  2. Evening all, I've been out the hardware loop for a little while. Looking at upgrading from a 2070 super to a 4070ti. Is this a sensible move, is there better value to be had from the AMD side or a difference Nvidia GPU? Lastly any brand recommendations, I've always gone with gigabyte and had no issues, but again opinions welcome Thanks in advanced
  3. As long as it starts I wouldn't worry. There's enough thermal mass (even in a stock cooler) for a CPU to run without the fan for a short while.
  4. Technically it should work, but 2mm is a tiny amount of tolerance. If the case has any sort of flex in it at all then you'll probably find the GPU hits the fans. So, if I were you, I'd aim for a gpu length max of 310mm
  5. Click the link Land on a login page that looks like it's the amazon one but isn't Login They have your password
  6. A different AVR won't make a difference. I have an Onkyo and that wouldn't work either. I also tried using an arc to phono adapter and that wouldn't work with the TV either. Both worked fine with my Samsung which leads me to believe the fault lies with LG. My audio knowledge isn't great, if you went the route you're talking about wouldn't you lose the ability to control volume through the tv remote?
  7. I mean you've already done that yourself lol. The ASUS one fits all your needs apart from the 2.5 doesn't it?
  8. In that case your best bet is going to be an external drive enclosure and just do backups. As far as I'm aware no gaming laptop still has 2.5 inch bays, as an m.2 does the exact same at a fraction of the size. Meaning more space for cooling and battery.
  9. These days a HDD is less reliable than an SSD. Regardless it doesn't matter. If you have two drives in the system set to raid 1. Then if a drive fails, your data is still safe on the other one, you buy a replacement drive for the dead one and carry on.
  10. So why do you need a 2.5 specifically? You can have two drives in the laptop?
  11. The laptop you're looking at has multiple m.2 slots?
  12. DisplayPort 1.2 supports a max resolution of 3840 x 2160 or 4k with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Meaning it can do up to 1440p ultrawide.
  13. No it doesn't Can I ask why you need a 2.5 inch bay? I honestly don't know if any new gaming laptop has a 2.5 bay. M.2 is so much smaller and these days pretty much the same cost.
  14. I moved just last week. All I did was remove the GPU, put the pc behind my passenger seat, and then moved the seat back until it wedged the pc between the rear and front seat. Done this several times and never had an issue.
  15. Worth a shot, but I'd imagine its a software issue. And given modern tv's update themselves if that's the case then there's nothing a technician will be able to do.
  16. I purchased an LG tv last year and had the exact same issue. Nothing I did would get eARC to work. I ended up sending the tv back and replaced it with a Samsung one which worked fine. I know its not the answer you want but I think LG's implementation of eARC is just terrible and seems to work with very few setups.
  17. I'm sure given how much development went into the screwdriver this was considered at some point. But I complete agree, am even longer, more in-depth video would be fascinating. Hopefully the views and watch time are enough on the 30min vid that they'd consider making it.
  18. It'll reset the BIOS. But assuming you didn't touch the BIOS settings since the surge I doubt it'll fix it as well. It certainly sounds like the surge cooked your ethernet port. Assuming everything else on the motherboard is ok I'd suggest just buying a pcie network card with an ethernet port. Shouldn't cost you much at all
  19. Did you buy it on steam? If so verify the integrity of the game files.
  20. Truthy I wish I'd gone with a m240i. I never drove one and just assumed its identical to my 140i but coupe style. Drove one a few months into owning my 140 and was surprised and how much better it felt in the corners. Before I did anything to my car it felt very loose in the corners. Also the massive b pillars of a 5 door hatchback are annoying. Aside from the remap have you done anything else? Exterior looks stock, but curious if you're able to put down 460hp without some suspension/ diff mods.
